West Ham sites are saying deal done for Fornals btw.
Sources seem disparate in the transfer fee, anywhere from 24mE to 30m£.

Someone disagreed - so do they/ you think if Fornals comes in Lanzini won’t be on the way out? I asked as a question as interested in views but just disagreeing doesn’t help. I can’t see how Fornals and Lanzini play in the same side and rumours suggest Lanzini wants out so interested in views.

Both are skilful dribblers with an eye for the killer pass. Fornals crossing seems top class from the clips I’ve seen and he is two footed.

I could certainly see Anderson, Lanzini and Fornals as both wingers and a 10 in any combination.

The other important point is that MP is building a squad, not just a 1st XI.

Personally, I think playing Fornals deeper would be a waste of his talents.


I'd like to see us play 4-2-3-1 with Anderson, Fornals and Antonio being the 3.

Rotate in Lanzini and Yarmolenko when their both fit as well and I think we've got a solid pick of players to choose from.

I'd like to think Fornals is more of a replacement for Noble in the long run than Lanzini

Sitting slightly deeper and upping the tempo with the transition from defence to attack with Lanzini sitting behind Arnie

Its about being able to rotate the team and coiver for injuries fornals and lanzuni won't be in the same starting team one will be on the bench coyis.

Fornals is a bit like Wilshere, attack minded with a good pass. Reckon Pellegrini will play with what he has but try and keep Wilshere/ Rice/ Fonrals as a Midfield with Wilshere/ Fornals taking turns attacking.

Formation we played the most last season according to whoscored and I'd probably agree is 4141. So Rice sitting in front of the back four with snodgrass and Noble infront of him. Maybe Pellegrini is wanting to upgrade those two men just ahead of rice one more defensively capable and one more attacking to alternate with what we have.

That would give us a very strong midfield and would explain why we have been linked with so many in the centre.
