Hallelujah and good riddance. He’s been with us for 6 years and averaged 17 games a season and just over 4 goals a season. Hardly prolific and certainly not worth the £4m he was on per year. £1.0m a goal? He can sod off with my blessings and a line of coke on me! 😂😂😂😂.

I know I will be shot down here, but Yes we had to release Carroll and his injury record goes without saying, but can you really blame him for the majority of his injuries, I doubt very much he wanted to be injured all the time in effect it really has cost him many England caps as his a great alternative when fit, as well as all the goals he would have scored over the years for us if fit

Im glad his going to get him off the wage bill, but for me its not personal, In my opinion you have to put yourself in his shoes, yes of course he now is a multi millionaire but do you think he would have rather been on half his wages and been fit 90% of the time so he can do what he loves is play football, I think he would, so although I agree he had to leave maybe let's not get on his back to much

Injuries are injuries, you can be lucky enough to go through the whole of your career which are minor but unfortunately some players are just prone and unfortunately for Caroll he is one of those

Thats why I was personally astonished when we signed Wilshere due to his injury list over the years, another player that will go down as what could have been if not for being injured on a regular bases.

COYI64, Is that 17 minutes a game as well🤣😂 It can’t be 17 full games per season, if you added up the total minutes per game it would be a fraction of that total? Got to give him and his agent due for their negotiating skills, somebody has cost the club a small fortune in employing him!

Thank god he's gone. Milked us for all it's worth!

Hammerdave, If he meant to be constantly injured Yes I would agree he definitely did milk us, but in reality i'm sure he would have rather been playing and injuries unfortunately for him seem to be a massive problem, so yes we did waste shed loads of money on him but that modern day football, . I can see another shed loads going down the drain in a certain player namely Wilshere.

Agree with Chelms, yes, he *had* to go but sorry to see him leave - he could win games on his own at times.
Just hope he goes to a league where the standard is a little lower and he doesn't have to play as hard.

I was one of those singing “Andy Carroll we want you to stay” at the Boleyn when we beat Reading 4:2. Since then it has been a disastrous “stay. ”

Whilst no one could really have foreseen how it would turn out and his endless list of injuries, I have to add that his reported behaviour and his lack of self-discipline off the pitch appear to have been major contributors to his lack of playing time.

He simply makes little or no effort to look after himself and we all shake our heads and imagine what could have been.

I think he's not looked after himself. and so. yes . I believe he's milked us.

Yeah, even if half the rumours are true, his 'social' indulgences, lack of professionalism and lifestyle in general have got to be a major factor. If he was a true professional I'm pretty sure he would have been fit a lot, lot more.
