Seen on websites etc and now heard a rumour from a friend at the club that Everton are interested in Cresswell for around 8m. Not sure how truthful but could be a good deal for WH as Ben Johnson looks capable of doing a job in the first team.
Our striker hunt looks awful to me - have seen Mitrovic, Rondon and the perennial Gomez and Ballotelli.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if we are waiting for bids on Felipe Anderson and Rice before buying anyone.

Glen1540, I don't see us selling Cresswell, his season wasn't great but it was disrupted by injuries.

When it comes to transfers. I think when you consider that Adrian and Nasri' contracts are expiring, Carroll' too (I don't believe the rumours he is to be offered a pay as you play deal), that frees up a sizeable chunk of wages.

We are apparently willing to sell the likes of Byram, Oxford, Obiang, Fernandes, Hernandez and Perez. potentially we could see Reid go too.

Reports suggest that Husillos and Pellegrini have been given a transfer budget of £30 million plus whatever they get from player sales and let's face it Rice and Anderson are our most valuable assets and I can't shake the feeling that Rice or Anderson could be off this summer, maybe both of them.

With all the outgoing players, I don't think we will raise enough in player sales to replace them with quality, not unless we sell one of our prize assets.

I also don't think it bodes well that Pellegrini has said he doesn't know if Rice will stay. lol.

Personally, if Rice or Anderson (or both) were to leave for big money, as long as we replace them with quality players I wouldn't mind all that much. Obviously I'd rather keep our best players, but if they're replaced by similar players who cover the loss of Rice and Anderson, and it gives us a little more money to play with in the market. I have to trust Pellegrini know what he is doing.

With a transfer budget of £30 million and the money we get from selling

{Ed002's Note - You need to post this again not as a reply to another post.}

Haha, no worries Die_4.

Personally can see us selling Anderson, was good but not a worldie in the same sense Payet was. Rice I would like to keep another year - simply for his sake. If he goes to a top team can see his game time reduced and he will end up on loan somewhere. Stay 1/ 2 years with us and he will get a move somewhere and be club no 1
PS. just seen we are trying to sign Dave MArtin (Alvin's son) as backup goalie? Any idea if true eds? Seems even more left field than my last suggestion.

Just hope we don't seel any star players. get rid of the deadwood and improve in 2/ 3 pisitons. quality signings not quantity.

Ben Johnson can indeed do a job for us this season. But he's a right back.

And not a good R/ B either.

MITROVIC in a WEST GAM would challenge for the golden boot IMO as I think he'd get 20-25 goals for us that's my views he's a very underrated striker for me but what are fulham going to won't not that they are in a very good position regards transfer dealings being relegated but my price would be 25 million and not a penny more. COYI.

BillyD. He can play left back, it's where he started against Man City mate.
Exactly what we need, a sub who can play either side.

But apparently we are looking at Delph instead now.

Doubt we would be selling Anderson or Rice unless they request a transfer or a significant offer came in. Last season bringing in a manager of MPs status, spending a large sum, telling Arnie he couldn’t leave in January, were all part of the statement that the club are looking to move forward, that would be undone if we just sell our assets first opportunity. No I can see Anderson and Rice lining up next season unless, as I said above, the offer is far too good to refuse (Anderson would need to be a profit, can’t see that happening, Rice 50 mill or so) or they become unsettled and want out and it becomes best for all parties.
