Eds surely we’ll be priced out by Celta and all the other clubs who want Maxi Gomez?
What does Pellegrini see in him that he wants him so much anyway?

{Ed002's Note - Probably and Maxi Gomez (S) is also very unlikely as he wants European football. But there are other options the club has been considering as I have explained:
Aleksandar Mitrovic (S) is a now realistic target and very much the Andy Carroll type player - but there will be a lot of competition - time to talk with Fulham
Florian Aye (S)
Edin Dzeko (S) an enquiry has been made with his agent and if the price is low enough WHU may look to an offer, leaving enough funds to add another striker - but both Inter Milan and Everton are looking to him as well
Max Kruse (S) - has been watched by West Ham
Dario Benedetto (S) is a Plan C for Roma and RBL and suggested WHU makes no sense given his goals have dried up, his injuries over the past couple of years and he will only be able to get a one year Tier 5 work permit initially
Duvan Zapata (S) - the player was not keen on a move to West Ham in January and the €50M asking price has already scared of Newcastle and Inter Milan - WHU could return but I doubt he would be first choice, certainly at the asking price.}

Not holding my hopes for Maxi Gomez, but would love it to happen.
MP made good signings last year. Ok, Sanchez, Wilshere, and Perez have all not been great (injuries for the most part) but they were all in-expensive backups at the end of the day. He hasn't had an attempt at buying us a decent striker yet, and I trust him and Husillos to get someone better than what we have for next season. Same goes for a high energy Centre midfielder.

It was a good window for MP. Tbf Perez has scored some important goals for us and as you pointed out injuries with the others. I'm just hoping sully keeps his input to a minimum, MP and MH should be backed all the way.

Let's not play silly buggers with our negotiations either.

To be fair, with Wheelchair we knew what we were getting but definitely worth keeping as can be a match winner when fit and able. At least he is on pay as you play.

The word most of us associate with Wilshere is “if. ”

At his best he is world class. His cameo against Southampton was terrific. MP knows what he can do and has recently raved about his training.

An injury free season for him would almost certainly bag us another 10 points. if.

Glen, Wheelchair as far as I understand is on a 3 year contract, not pay as you play, which makes him imo the worst and most stupid buy ever for us, as everybody knew except MP of his record! I think he is on £90k then £45k when not playing, that’s not good financial business and absolutely unfair to other players that are capable, you can’t live on past glory forever, but he’s doing all right out of it! All he is capable of is 15 minutes when fit, with the odd through ball and flick which some fans think is wonderful when he does it! When I see him run and chase during a full season without his hands on his hips moaning and waving his arms about and going down each time he’s tackled, maybe my opinion will change, needs to pack up smoking as well whilst a professional!
