Andre Gomez deal dead he may go to Everton isn't every player now? Gonalons is still alive. Barely -LLorente would have to be for zero as WH don't want to deal with spurs Maia could seal a last minute deal to Watford as could Sturaro IRONMIKE.

Why is the Gomes deal dead Mike? If Maia goes to Watford that is a big mistake from us.

Massive anti climax. I personally am disappointed. Yes we have done good business but so have all the other clubs around us and I feel we’ve started well and now let teams even the playing field and maybe even overtake us. Hoping we get 1 or 2 more in and changes my mind.

Would be very happy to get Gonalons, or another decent DM before the deadline.

Absolute NO to Llorente.

Don’t want to be too negative but wonder if the plan is to play with 4 wide men and somehow hope we don’t leak goals. Seems we haven’t gotten the DM we need, nor a real striker.

How can anyone be disappointed? We've signed 8 potential first XI players, and a world class manager!

Just because other clubs sign players too doesn't mean we have to sign more!

Llorente makes no sense. we have Chicharito, Arnie and Perez for likely one central role (plus Carroll still on the books) backed up by Anderson and Yarmalenko who have played that role too.

Sanchez in (since it's clear that's what is happening at CDM) and then if at all possible a centre back (given Reid's injury) is all that makes sense now.

An amazing window from us. Sold no one of note, strengthened all round.

Anyone who is 'disappointed' or expected more needs a reality check!

Stubbo it’s just my opinion. We’ve done well but I think we really needed a strong CDM and that should’ve been the priority. Hopefully I am wrong as I’m sure MP knows a lot more than I do.

I think the point you are missing Stubbo is the glaring weakness in our midfield which has been evident for 2-3 seasons. Nobody is saying we have had a bad window, we have had a great window, people are just saying that huge gap still exists, if anything we are maybe slightly weaker there after selling Kouyate.

Spot on Stubbo been a great window our squad is loads stronger than last year, we now have pace and strength in depth across the squad.

Hope you are right, and will be pleased to be wrong but I can still see us leaking goals. But watching us since the early 70s maybe I’ve just become a pessimist.

Spot on Stubbo - we have spent 100m on quality players who will improve the team.
Only better thing would have been getting rid of deadwood but still fantastic.

After a great start to transfer window and having signed great players, the end of this window has been disappointing. Everybody saying no to us and moving somewhere else. No disrespect to Watford but how a player can choose them over WH is a mystery to me and can only be based upon wages.

Either that or the reporting is false and they didn't really choose Watford over us.

The bottom line is if Pellegrini is happy, the rest of us should be.

We got all our business done early this window which is very valuable, and thus the end of the window has seemed flat, but that is testament to the stirling work done early on. Our players have bedded in, spent pre season together, developed together as a team and are ready (hopefully) for Sunday.

Others will be throwing in guys who have never met each other and hoping for the best.

West Ham have been fantastic in this window. have paid the big money, paid the big wages, gone out and got what the manager asked for and seemingly rebuffed anything that looked like taking away from the managers plans.

The other key thing to remember is that Rice is moving into our midfield and strengthens us there (if the games he played for Ireland and the pre season friendlies are anything to go by) plus we're about to sign Sanchez who is no Messi but strengthens us at CDM as he knows the position. Also with the player's we've signed further forward Wilshere in all liklihood will play deep and strengthens us too.

My only concern is at CB where we have 3 CBs, two without any league experience and one a South American punt in a position where we play 2 every game. Maybe Zabaleta could cover, maybe Rice will drop back if needed, and maybe Oxford will stay and be the emergency 4th man, but as it stands this is the biggest area of squad weakness.

At CM we have Noble, Rice, Wilshere, Obiang and in all liklihood Sanchez too, plus Cullen, Oxford and Fernandes (unless they depart on loan deals) .

Pellegrini has seen all our CMs and obviously sees enough in what he has to not make this priority given the style of game he wants to play.

Assuming we'll no longer be adopting the low block defence that was both Moyes and Bilic's hallmark (even in his first season) then we can assume Pellegrini doesn't see the CDM as key over and above a team work ethic to recover the ball early after losing possession.

With jack wanting to get forward as does noble (who wouldn't be in my first eleven ) whos doing the defending we can't complain about our transfers but we've missed one very serious problem last season when obiang got injured we had kouyate the headless chicken goi g on 50 yard runs and noble joining him at some stage (paceless) and although he can't play in that position a better centre half DENDONKER joins WOLVES on a loan (which we couldn't get) with a view to a €12 million transfer next year we were quoted €22 million i understand prices change and we have new management but come on WOLVES and FULHAM are close to loaning a top striker VIETTO from athletico madrid but we can't have everyone just gutted we haven't adressed mind you arsenal haven't for years but have only just got a top CDM so we will see how he sets our team to play. COYI.
