hi fellas, Di Canio and WH trying to lure MURIEL from Sampadoria and are making him number one target in front of Perez Defoe and others this will COST A PACKET it appears that WH want TWO forwards NOT one IRONMIKE.

{Ed002's Note - I am not sure of the involvement of Di Canio Mike but Luis Muriel is certainly one of the three strikers West Ham has been watching in Italy.}

Hi, ED Di Canio is involved here ( albeit not officially ) perhaps DGS are losing faith in others, so they are using one of our old favourites to perhaps grease the wheels re player movements, , AS far as Di Canio is concerned he may see this as the way to get into a WH job one way or the other, we shall see what occurs regards IRONMIKE.

{Ed002's Note - I know who the two people are who were in Italy to look at the three players for West Ham and Di Canio was not mentioned by the one I spoke to. Also Di Canio is no longer welcome at a number of grounds in Italy due to his extreme political views - although he remains favourite at one particular club.}

Whilst we are chatting what's the current situation with Dres Martins another WH interest I understand I was under the impression that Marseille were top
Of the queue has this now changed? IRONMIKE.

{Ed002's Note - Another one of the three MIke. Napoli want Dries Mertens to stay at the club but he is hankering after a move to England and is stalling over a new contract. The sides interested in Dries Martens are Newcastle (who have already had a discussion about him) and West Ham who have been watching him. I have suggested that Everton should look to renew prior interest.

Marseille are not in the picture at all.}

What do we think the chances of us getting either Muriel or Mertens are? Would just like to know if it's a pipe dream or a very real possibility, or Perez for that matter.

{Ed002's Note - I can tell you where there is interest but I have no way to sensibly quantify the chances of them joining. Muriel would likely draw interest from Champions League clubs. Mertens is keen on a move to England and West Ham might be able to put together an attractive package. Deportivo La Coruna has said that they would be interested in taking Lucas Perez back to replace Moreno whose loan will be up in the summer. However, last season was a peak in an otherwise pretty average journeyman career for Perez and I am surprised Arsenal did not see sense and signed him. Mario Mandzukic (the third player West Ham has been looking at in Italy) is a viable option - but there is interest from Besiktas and China.}

I see lawro has gone against us winner once again for some reason I'm sure he hates us. if we manage to get atleast one of those it would be great improvement, I've heard that we like mitrovic of Newcastle and we could go in with 10 mill bid.

Mitrovic is NOT amongst the top choices at present, He COULD come into the picture I IF others fail, OR if Carroll leaves IRONMIKE.

morning all!

Mike does the rumours of Carroll to the Toon have any legs? I love the big man but 16 games a season is just not good enough anymore.

WH in a sort of quandary with AC first obviously they cannot let him go without replacement secondly if they don't extend contract soon the player himself may try to run his contract down THEN if we don't have a big man up front it demands a change of style without options THERE is a lot to consider both for the club and the player ALL players are transient and IF the right deal comes along then yes he can go BUT there have been NO serious enquiries from Newcastle as of this time. IRONMIKE.

Thanks as always Mike! I think we will have a new manager in place for July transfer window! I think Bilic has dropped the ball this year! Love the man' passion but he is too stubborn and tactically inept to take us on to the next level imho.

The next few games will tell the story on this one IRONMIKE.

I think working for that tight fisted Board who give him freebies and Make do players, Bilic is a Saint.

Hiya ED have we given up on CAFU from ludogrets and how strong is the apparent interest in VERDI from Italy.

{Ed002's Note - Ludogorets had previously said that Leicester and Aston Villa had enquired after Jonathan Cafu but Leicester have held initial talks now and have made an enquiry about whether he would likely be eligible for a work permit. Lazio also approached Ludogrets but considered the €10M asking price too high. They said that although they knew of scots from other sides attending games no other clubs had spoken with them.

Verdi has only been at Sampdoria for 6 months or so and I am not aware of West Ham making any approach for him although Mike has said WHU are trying to get something done.}
