Standard are reporting that the spuds are cancelling adebayor contract and paying him off! Leaving adebayor a free agent. If we want him this effectively means we don't deal with the spuds but equally as a free agent he is not restricted by deadline and therefore in a position to negotiate with all clubs after deadline who may be more flexible if they missed other targets. Good business for him!

Unless he takes a big wage drop can't see us signing him for 100 grand a week to be honest even if he is a free agent

But if the spuds pay off his contract or half of it then we have options, if we want him although what is the point?
