We were really poor first half but improved second half, Bowen didn't really have a good game.

I didn’t see the match, only listened to the live audio. Haven’t had the chance to download it or watch any highlights yet, including MotD. It seems we started to fight harder in the second half and deserved all three points. Most reviews seem to say we weren’t great, and both Bowen and Paqueta had crap games. Can’t really comment on that, apart from the radio commentators had nothing but praise for Paqueta. Bad news about Potts.
I did see footage of the pre-match protest against the board. Various reports of the numbers of protestors, but it looked to me there were several thousand. This is encouraging, since some were expecting a drop of support after last week’s victory. SULLIVAN/BRADY OUT!

I would say that is a pretty decent assessment we weren’t great and even though we had periods where Burnley were better they were thwarting us rather than running us ragged. They started the second half better than us but generally we were the better side and their 3rd was a bit of an afterthought imo. I thought Paqueta played pretty well and he got a hero’s send off when he went off around the pitch. But I see most people have panned him it is possible that from my position behind the goal when action was down the other end I was getting paq and Fernandez mixed up the number 10 and 18 blur into one (should have gone to spec savers ?) . Fernandez had a great game really started to repay his fee and when Magassa came on he seemed decent.

I didn’t get to the protest as it would have meant having to leave home really early and getting home pretty late if I lived more local maybe I would have gone. But the footage I saw there was a damn site more than media outlets, about 2k. More like 4 or 5 times that. I think the media were being fed this by the club not the media trying to distort the figures.

On another note seems like nuno has the perfect use for soucek aswell further up the pitch, I've been a critical in the past but he played well yesterday when he came on and I will admit I groaned when Wilson went off for him

Fernandes is getting better with each game great performance yesterday

Yeh I agree, I thought Fernandes was outstanding and is starting to look like a great signing. Paqueta had a game of 2 halves for me. First half he was ropey and looked like getting sent off, second half he was really good ….Bowen I felt was poor yesterday but the positive is he has these dips in form and tends to come back on fire. I think we’ll give Bournemouth a good game as the balance of the side looks much better. On another note where is Ward-Prowse incidentally? I get it Nuno and pretty 99% of us don’t like like him as a player but has he been told to stay away until January?

I think regarding yesterday, whilst we weren’t great but deserved to win IMO, we don’t take into account that Burnley were actually much better than we thought they would be. I think in comparison to Leeds they are much better from what I have seen.

As for JWP no idea I wonder if it is not only a footballing reason for why he doesn’t get near the side. Maybe there is some major friction between him and Nuno and he is going to become the new Danny Ings taking a kings ransom and doing nothing for it. Hopefully they can loan him out to someone in January………
