I have just heard that the Jiminez deal has fallen through, not because of the permit but other clubs have Hijacked him while we were waiting, I hope this is a load of dogs, but has anyone else this? I thought it was a done deal!!

We always seem to dither and give other teams the opportunity to step in, I guess the same happened here. But as my earlier post said, can't see much, if any movement on the transfer front as we are out of Europe. We have a treadbare squad that with luck on the injury front, could just about do the job of keeping us up!

I really do think that our somewhat early expulsion from the Europa League is for the best. We simply don't have the squad depth to maintain a Premier League position and compete in Europe at the moment. If we're not there to compete, I see it as fairly pointless, the youngsters can get a run-out in the League Cup etc.
Going forward to next weekend, I would like to see our squad as:
Adrian
Jenkinson Ogbonna Reid Cresswell
Obiang Kouyate
Lanzini Payet Zarate
Sakho
Which is a considerably better squad than last year by anyone's standards!

That's not a squad,that's a team.we are threadbare and unless some quality numbers come in.we are in serious trouble (and a laughing stock as well,which is nice!!)
