I was reading with interest that West Ham are apparently targetting 6 or 7 players in the summer.
Then I read another article which showed what dead wood we already have and what is likely to happen
In the following order of most likely to have played their last game for us:
Abdul Razak - loan return - 1
Antonio Nocerino - loan return - 2
Marco Borriello - loan return - 3
Mobido Maiaga - not wanted - 4
Alou Diarra - not wanted - 5 (Holtby)
Joe Cole - out of contract - 6 (Redmond)
Pablo Armero - loan return - 7
Jack Collison - no future here? - 8 (Snodgrass)
Ricardo Vaz Te - no future here? - 9 (McCormack)
Roger Johnson - loan return - 10
Jordan Spence - out of contract - 11
Stephen Henderson - out of contract - 12
Jussi Jaaskelainen - out of contract - 13 (Marshall)
Possibly 13 players from our squad on the way out. And then you have the following possibly re-signing
Matt Taylor
George McCartney (hope not needs replacing) - 14
Hopefully returning
Ravel Morrison -13
Doesn't seem happy and could leave
Mo Diame - 14 (Steve Sidwell)

Probably need to add as many as 8-10 players to the squad given that no-one seems ready for the jump up from U21 level yet. The above list shows that we could lose a possible 17 players one way or another

Personally I would like to see the following cleared in the summer: Diarra, Diame, Jarvis, Nolan, Collison, Maiga, McCartney, Demel, O'Brien, Taylor and Jussi.
Potential signings just from relegated clubs could be Steve Sidwell, Lewis Holtby, Micah Richards, David Marshall, Ross McCormack, Louis Zaha, Robert Snodgrass, Nathan Redmond
Expect jussi jcole collison maiga if someone will take him diarra and maybe diame don't see jarvis going or nolan,
demel still got 12months left on his contract obrien taylor will still be here and I think linda will get a 12 month extension.
with the 4 loans returning to there clubs and those that may leave are unlikely to generate much in the way of funds for the transfer market.
g/s will do the norm 20/30 mill on 3/4 players some loans and a couple of free transfers. let's hope the board don't waste to much time chasing players who want euro football.
