mentioned in an early august post that West Ham United should consider giving razvans mate ciprian marica a trial he was in London then talking to arsenal and looked likely to go there. but then arsenal had a change of heart, and wanted a pay play basis. which marica turned down. surprised razvan hadn't mentioned this to sam, probably better than c, cole. big interest in Khalid the cannibal as I previously stated. and some said who or what/? I now understand another old boy has had a chat with sam (long distance) that is, another midfield memory reo-coker. see if this goes anywhere I don't think he's free agent anyway but is talking about ending contract etc. nothing else I know of at present. Any other west ham fan out there think we need to start planning now for January transfer window and in particular Jordan Rhodes who just continues to score goals. Twice we've made bids for him. Perhaps 3rd time lucky

We what need to do is offer what his worth instead of trying to get him on the cheap

. I have noticed a lot of posts with fans interest in Jordan Rhodes. this is West Ham United position they made two enquiries for him l. ast june (before window opened). no proper bid was made. Blackburn wanted north of 11m for him but would consider taking two players in p-ex who they valued at 3m together. the two are or were rvt and taylor. they were also happy to take Henderson without a fee as well obviously the club might have come out in front on wages. but they wanted about 8, 5m in cash on top. it must be remembered Blackburn were reputed to have paid a tad over 7m for him. which is a lot of dough for a championship player. they had hopes of making a quick return to premier which did not happen. Wigan put a 6m bid in for him during the window. they got a quick no. but you have to ask yourself this there are 19 other clubs in premier league most if not all of them could afford Rhodes but no-ones gone for him. why?. there is a big jump between levels. and the other clubs may think he's not that level. West Ham United can take a punt on a player for maybe 1-2m. but 11-12m is not a punt they don't want risk element Someone might come in for him next January but I cannot see it being whu. The club should do itself a real favour and allocate the funds to land Jordan Rhodes in January. Although it might prove difficult if he maintains his hitherto prolific strike rate for Blackburn Rovers. We should have signed him from Huddersfield Town and also this summer. Hopefully it will be third time lucky in January. It is amazing that a striker with his goal scoring record has not yet attracted any top tier interest. And it says something about the prospects of home grown talent in the overseas player obsessed Premier League. The Club must also ensure an early clear out of some of the fringe players to facilitate one or two new signings. Who knows, if the club start planning the transfer business now, they might just get it right come January!

We had money to but players it was the wages we were told that was the issue. So was Cole going to play for free. I am sure he would have been paid around 20 grand a week. I don't think we have been told the truth Fair play league at one point and then resigning an old player. It is not rocket science to see that we have nothing up front with AC injured. They really need to look at what free agents are about and then tell us the truth rather than a load of cock and bull regarding wages. Till I die

Personally I would like to have seen us make a move for Jordan Rhodes. If we had offered RVT, MATT Taylor, George McCartney and cash or any combination I'm sure Blackburn would have been interested. Ideally Rob hall could have been involved in the deal but we let him go to Bolton!

Why didn;t we approach Mladen Petric (free Agent). And looking at the free agent list there are a few who would easily fit into our squad

I think this is a very good point, Petric would do a half decent job for us!

its now being spun (sorry rumoured) that carroll injury will keep him out untill xmas. That is how desperately pathetic our transfer dealings have to be to attract free agents, let alone normal ones. The daves and bfs have realised too late that no striker would ever come to play second fiddle. But it took untill the transfer window shut for them to realise this and make this rubbish up. Dear oh dear

Ive read that too. It does sound like a story they made up. The powers that be are not fooling anyone. A real shambles

Sorry but this is the worst rumours yet, he will be on the bench Vs Soton, then he will play in the Carling Cup game against Cardiff to get minutes then he will get 60 70ish minutes against Everton then work his way back to full 90!
