First meeting this weekend dgs/sam I am expecting no change as new faces have to bed-in injuries etc; goalposts to be moved ( for the press ) to 12 points in 8 games; however this won't be strictly adhered to; dgs will stick with sam for at least 12 games possibly 14; should be interesting. I would like to hear from fellow fans as to their choice of manager should sam get the chop. THE FOLLOWING IS MY OPINION ONLY Tony pullis; style similar to sams, although recognised as safe pair of hands likelihood out of 10 points **6 Neil Lennon the dark horse problem is his main time spent with celtic; and with rangers in trouble they have no credible opposition in Scotland ;points**6 Paolo de canio, I know fans love him but dgs don't! points **4 Julian Dicks now busy with west ham ladies, has the guts and motivation but not the experience ; p Goints **4 Steve clark, can't see this happening although he has his followers points **5; slaven bilic would be very popular choice has experience at national and team levels and is known as excellent tactician; problem with him is expensive buy out clause with besiktas points **8 David moyes; I think he got a rough deal with man united never had the backing as van gaal now getting; had great track record at everton; and on similar budgets, and has said privately he would love to come to west ham; don't forget he might have something to prove now points**8 Glenn Hoddle, yes bags of experience, some fans dream but they are perhaps closet spurs fans ;points **5 There will be other contenders of course and should sam go some of these may not be available, also curbishley friendly with dgs but I have not even rated this as unlikely PLEASE LET ME KNOW YOUR OPINIONS: IRONMIKE

Eddie Howe from Bournemouth my ouside choice!

Ironmike life would be so dull without your post. I for one would like to see Dyche from Burnley. COYI and keep the posts coming

Got to be Moyes for me mike, Bilic is a close second only because he has no prem manager experience.

My first choice would be david moyes great job at everton his time at old Trafford is looking better by the minute as one of the worlds best manager spends a fortune with no success so far
also do not forget he was fergies pick who wants to double guess the greatest manager ever in the premier

I would also add nigel clough to the others mentioned

the key point is there are several good choices out there all way better than bfs

{Ed001's Note - surely the issue with Allardyce is his style of play? So why would you want Moyes, who uses almost exactly the same style??}

Not a fair comment there Ed, Moyes may have struggled at Manchester United but at Everton his style of play wasn't that bad. I think Fergie liked him because he used a similar style which is a million miles away from Sam who appears to be incapable of mixing up his style of play or having a plan B, C etc.

I think Moyes would be a massive improvement on Sam and most fans would welcome him to our club.

{Ed001's Note - his style of play was roughing up the opposition and hitting long balls to Fellaini in most games. It was entirely fair, his style of play was not good to watch, hence why Everton fans are so loving having Martinez and his brand of football at the club.}

Did not intend to stir up a hornets nest (ed ) but as you have previously stated that is the purpose of banter site : there is a whisper that david moyes has been earmarked by mike Ashley as pardew despite his 8 year contract has been warned the next two games must show massive improvement; so its a faint possibility that he will get a job long before sam leaves ; Mind you with a massive payoff n hand pardew might notbe that upset IRONMIKE

{Ed001's Note - Pardew doesn't get a massive pay off. He is in the job purely because he owed one of the Newcastle directors (who has since left) a large sum of money through losing it in the casino he owns. If he goes, the money will just pay off his debt to Llambias.}

Didn't Moyes bring Baines, pienaar, Coleman and Mirales to Everton? His style of play wasn't that bad to watch hence why the most successful manager in the EPL wanted Moyes to be his successor.

The reason Moyes is a good manager is that he know when to rough up his opponents and he knows when to play which is what modern managers should be able to adapt to who your playing and us different tactics.

{Ed001's Note - if you say so, but there are many, including most Everton fans, who would disagree with you completely. As for Fergie's choice, well that was not based on his style of play, so I have no idea why you are bringing that into it.}

Point taken; however pardews contract involves reducing payoff terms the longer it runs; which translates to the longer the contract runs the less payoff he and his staff get should he be sacked, however this cannot be less than 2.5m until final year not brilliant for a man who loves a gamble but not too shabby either IRONMIKE

Think they should try signing Carlos Marchana, he is a free agent and a centre back 34 but still quality.
