This is just my opinion. Take it what you will. First things fisrt. I haven't been 2 a game yet because I live in australia. Will be going 2 england next year just 2 see the hammers play. Everyone is saying we need a goal scorer and so was I for a while. Its only now I believe we already have one in ricardo vaz te. If you look at the stats compared to Kevin Nolan, rickie Lambert and jordan Rhodes last year playing as the second sticker behind carlton Cole ricardo scored 24 goals and 3 assist in 42 games. 12 of which he started on the bench. Kevin Nolan playing from attackin mid scored 12 with 5 assist in 45 starts. Jordan rhodes scored 33 with 4 assist from 56 starts. And rickie lambert scored 29 goals with 12 assist from 44 games but about 10 or so came from the spot. Come to the premier League you cold say ricardo is not up to the job. With only scoring 3 and assisting with 4 in 24 games. But you got 2 look at where he was played in the chapionship he was a sticker this season a right wing /mid. Compared 2 Kevin Nolan playing as the second sticker no wonder he scored more goals 10 in tottal with 2 assist in 35 games. Same with rickie lambert played as a striker 15 goals wity 5 assist in 38 games. And I wonder how many from the spot. Play ricardo next 2 andy Carroll and he'll score goals.
I agree he was better at end of season when he had adjusted to the role but seemed shaky all season as we were playing a ST or LM in RM
