Ironmike, Ed, I wonder if you could enlighten me, as in Caroll and all his injuries, when he is injured do we still pay his salary or is this covered by some kind of injury insurance, and if the case what premium do we pay out on insurance cover to start win, apologies if a stupid question but just wondered if insurance companies offer such a huge money insurance
Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - THe players are insured but claims would only be made if it were a long term injury.}

31 Aug 2016 07:53:24
Thanks Ed, sorry be a pain but what is classed long term 3 months and upwards 6 months a year?

{Ed002's Note - Whatever the club decide - you make a claim on insurance and the premiums rise.}

31 Aug 2016 10:28:57
oh I see, thanks Ed.

carrolls insurance must cost more than his transfer fees.

I think our deals are now all done, , would of been nice to got rid of Valencia and got a RB and maybe a CB, but kouyate or norveildtl can cover CB, even though he hasn't really shine yet . Good team when all fit and unless something big happens tmra payet should b ours to at least January.

Maybe some of us fans are going bit ott we've played 3 games in league and haven't had nowhere near our strongest team out we nearly nicked point at chelski but to be honest not sure we would had deserved it? We sneaked past Bournemouth then got beat quite easily at city both chelski and city had their strongest teams out we haven't yet and we got couple of games coming up that if everyone is fit I'd fancy us to win if we did that it would mean 3 wins 2 defeats I think most fans would take that at beginning of season? I agree with some that nordtveit and especially tore look poor but I think calleri and more so fletcher look promising I hope we don't send fletcher out on loan! Payet worries me not sure what's happening with him but obviously I hope he stays and he will be fit for Watford along with lanzini and feghouli and we play Zaza not saying he's the 20 goal man but put him in and see how he does I don't think things are bad as some think it's just typical West Ham the West Ham we love and as someone else said earlier we are not that big a club yet it's going to take time let's not get like spurs fans and think we are bigger than we are!

30 Aug 2016 16:59:45
Iagree. Some fans are like in full blown meltdown, especially people like Phil who goes on like an apocalypse I happening. I totally agree. with a fully fit squad we have a very good chance of picking up lots of points. With the front lot of zaza fletcher payet feghouli Antonio lanzini and even calleri we have lts of goals in us. Fletcher I think could turn out class. And would ne good to rotate with zaza. Although tore and nordvielt are poor they do provide backup I guess. All of us would take 3_wins. People bang on about how bad we look but just remember who we have played. City look amazing undlder pep and cheski have something to prove. I'm sure we are still going to have fans in full meltdown (no names mentioned Phil) . If in 10 gameswe still aren't great then yes. start worrying. It's 3 games in people. Chill.

30 Aug 2016 16:59:57
Take a chill phil.

30 Aug 2016 19:44:25
bit sad digging someone out we've all got opinions just because you don't agree with them no need to put thier name in everything you say.

30 Aug 2016 22:19:49
Well constant negative views after just 3 games is just silly. Where's the positivity Rob. And its the 'west ham banter page'. for banter.

Its like people think we are aout to be relegated. Just wait and see what happens! Back the manager. Back the board. Back the players. Don't start panicking. Chill.

30 Aug 2016 22:20:33
Well said. At least Phil contributes regularly. My issue is that so many on this site say "go for this guy, he's a good squad player". Well now we are seeing that our second team needs to be able to step up and they just can't. We can't stand still or go backwards, we aren't the old west ham anymore.

30 Aug 2016 22:20:40
Phil is just passionate about westham the same as me and you.

30 Aug 2016 23:04:33
it's not banter though when you've mentioned someone 3 times in a post they haven't even commented on to be honest.

31 Aug 2016 09:03:35
Well some peoples post just go on and on. Its not passionate when you only mention the negative things. We know areas in need of improvement but we've made huge progress since dgs took over.

31 Aug 2016 10:36:39
Hammer, everyone can say what ever they like that's the point of this site, if Phil wants to be more critical than others that absolutely Phil's prerogative,

If I want to say I think Bilic may be sacked before the end of the season than I can, if you want to say get behind the lads, manager and club as a whole, I totally welcome that as well its good to be positive, but its not necessarily negative to be negative, its maybe how some people feel, my view is we have been poncing around in what has been a Bull transfer window.

Anyway its great that everyone contributes, weather you agree or disagree at the end of the day we are passionate about the club and that's all that matters. that's my 2 pennyworth :)

31 Aug 2016 17:49:02
I appreciate all comments. Just a bit of positivity wouldn't go a miss.

30 Aug 2016 14:35:20
Hi mike very dissapointed that we are not pursuing bony but that's West Ham United for you and I am very confused with the payet situation if he is not fit enough to play for us then why is he training with France and not receiving treatment?

30 Aug 2016 14:58:43
good question on oayet, apparently he's not 100% ready! that's what I understand, BUT is expected to be on Saturday week, ON BONY I would be very suprised if WH did an about turn Obviously all the injured have now been accessed, and they have decided at this moment to stick not twist, IRONMIKE.

30 Aug 2016 12:18:56
Anyone know if there is any chance we could go for Matteo Darmian? He isn't getting minutes at Manchester United. Can play all across the back four, but is predominantly a full back, has premier league experience and available?

I'd take him to replace Tomkins.

Also, am I correct in thinking premier league loan rules only allows us to have two players on loan at any one time from premier league clubs?

{Ed002's Note - Aside from West Ham never showing any interest in the player, Darmian is another who Mourinho likes and I expect he will stay - certainly unless they sign a replacement (who is not available).}

30 Aug 2016 14:54:17
Darmian to Inter, IRONMIKE.

30 Aug 2016 11:43:01
Bony has decided to stay where he is until January before he weighs up his options o where to go.

30 Aug 2016 10:57:20
Hi fellas, WH have NOT withdrawn loan bid for BONY that's rubbish. BUT at the same time are not pressing it, stoke have come in with similar loan bid, whilst Everton are a purchase situation, OR the player can stay where he is. That's it on BONY, Obviously a RB is what WH are looking for. YOU may remember me quoting the Lacazette bid it was SEVEN weeks ago! ON Nordvielt yes he was a free. BUT we should be aiming higher than that at this stage, TORE has been a. massive dissapointment because HE WAS a player I think SB must be in shock at his decline, In my view we need a right sided defender who can play RB and CB, let's hope we are on the case, as we have temporarily gone to sleep. ON WILTSHIRE, any loan might only be until JANUARY anyway, IRONMIKE.

{Ed002's Note - You are awazre that there is a limit of the number of players who a club can sign on on a temporary basis?}

30 Aug 2016 11:16:08
YES, it's a puzzle BUT it's Unlikely that BONY will come anyway, IF he wanted to. Move surely it would have already been in process, he's going to stay at man city until he gets his chinese move, IRONMIKE.

30 Aug 2016 11:18:51
is it 2 domestic season longs and 2 foreign for PL teams ed or did that change?

{Ed002's Note - It doesn't work like that. 4 per season, two at any one time - excluded are loans to buy (not loans with an option to buy) and emergency goalkeeper loans.}

30 Aug 2016 12:29:25
ok cheers ed.
