How bout letting Antonio have a run out as a striker . definatly ain't a right back and knows where the goal is.

02 Aug 2016 16:29:30
to be honest hughie I'd leave him 8n I'd field I think the reason he gets goals from midfield is because his pace allows him to arrive in the box a bit late and unmarked I think he causes chaos that way, everyone at west ham knows he ain't a RB though apart from slav lol.

02 Aug 2016 16:58:20
ballotelli still avaliable lol and van persie.

02 Aug 2016 14:15:10
On another note, has anybody received their season ticket yet? Nobody in my group has but it's getting close to the season opener now.

02 Aug 2016 13:29:50
Hey all just want to say on the striker front why don't we go for Andre Gray I know he hasn't proved him in the primer league but I reckon he's a player who can course a lot of trouble with his pace and his ability to be in the right place at the right time to score the 'poacher goals' and even if we went back to 2 up top him and Carroll could make a deadly duo and with the flair and attacking options behind them in Payet, Antonio, Tore etc surely we would score loads having the big man with little man duo up top, just so thought.

02 Aug 2016 13:37:33
Hi happy, I think they are looking a bit above Gray stature at mo, but good shout you never know what happens until given a chance, As I said before I think the lad Fletcher given the chance would excell.

02 Aug 2016 13:48:55
I'd let gray have a season in PL with burnley but keep a good eye on him and see how he does first of all.

02 Aug 2016 13:57:12
Yeah I totally agree I belive Fletcher maybe the bargain of the season given game time he will do very well, and yeah I just have always been a big fan of Grays and I do personally reckon he could do a job at any team with his pace and finishing and no matter what level he plays he seems to find the net and be reminds me of vardy coming from the lower leagues and making a name for himself but yeah like you said mate you never know.

This has been niggling me concerning the Ayew deal, I'm expecting to be shot down here but £20m is a lot of money for him ( maybe not in today's ridiculous fees) , when I feel we may have a gem on the bench who would get the goals Ayew would as in Fletcher, I saw ironmike caption from his friend and have a gut instinct he will become a top scorer, we have goals in Payet Antonio, Noble, Carroll, Calleri (hopefully) and given the chance in my view Fletcher WOULD get at least 15-20 this season with service from the width and midfield, If Ayew does sign I hope Fletcher will not go out on loan as this season he will flourish, on the odd ocassion you get a feeling with a player, look at Rashford, and Fletcher was thought to be on the same level in Man U reserves.

02 Aug 2016 14:28:50
I agree Warrington ayew doesn't excite me at all! Hope I'm wrong but I think we could a lot better as I've said before why not benteke or bony I think either would score 20 plus with payet Antonio tore and felighoui supplying the chances! To me ayew or Gomez are buys for buying sake and I would definately give fletcher a go I think he could be a little diamond if I'm wrong about ayew or Gomez I will apologise to those on here who are happy with those signings but we will see.

02 Aug 2016 15:07:17
Ayew it seems well down the pecking list but that's the stage we are 6th 7th choice, I'm not keen on Benteke at all to much like Carroll? Bony yes get him in on loan and re address the striker issue end of season, this would allow Fletcher a run out and we will see if his potential is there which personally I think he would get goals and loads of them and save the £20 million for another day.

All teams in the prem look as if they will compete this year, wheather it be with the main six or so called middle of road and lesser teams, I personally feel this may be the most competitive Prem season of them all, and I can't see anyone or even 4 teams running away from the rest, I can see upsets galore in the season, WH will need to start well and I have no doubt with scoring goals it's how many we concede that concerns me, I know some progress is being made with the defence, but we need proven defenders who can defend, we have enough attacking options on the width so for me there is no need to send our FB piling forward, let's get the defensive and basics right and see where we go from there, and I'm sure goals will follow. Top 4 I'm not sure, Top 6 still not sure, would top 8 be classed as a not bad finish, considering new Stadium and all that? Any comments on what would be an acceptable position or an Un acceptable position? Comments welcome.

02 Aug 2016 12:05:52
I think if we get calleri ayew a RB and a LB the top 8 is on Warrington, if we don't get the FBS I think top 10 is best we can hope for to be honest.

02 Aug 2016 12:23:17
Agreed Red, I would say 2 LB and 1RB just to be sure in defence.

02 Aug 2016 12:32:24
I think nordveit can cover fullback positions if he has too but wouldn't want to start him in loads of games.

02 Aug 2016 12:37:44
That's my point Red COVER is a word I associate as out of best position but we will see.

02 Aug 2016 13:17:02
Ayew might be just another "we tried to spend" Gomez or Carroll very similar not going to cause the likes fo John Terry to many problems, I do hope Calleri is quick when he is ready for selection (end 0f September? ) . The Antonio position does not look to be resolving itself, apart from him being our best winger and goalscorer he works so hard helping out his fullback with him on the wing and a proper fullback it makes that side of the defence doubly secure. Nordveit may be able to play at right back but he spent last season as a defensive mid-fielder? Everyone can see the full back positions as a major problem, if this is not resolved we won't be looking at a top 10 as good but staying up as a result.

02 Aug 2016 11:15:13
Just read Ashley Williams for Everton £10m did we not look at this does anyone know? Seems good business to me.

02 Aug 2016 11:36:06
we got plenty of CB Wrington we will have ginge and ogbonna back soon and we have Burke and Oxford itching for some game time, I think Williams is decent but 10 million for a 31 year old in a position we have lots of depth don't think we need, would prefer full backs.

02 Aug 2016 11:54:45
Hi Red, yes your probably right it's just I really like him, strong dependable and leads by example, I am getting a little worried with the FB, how many do you think we need to cover especially if we get to Europa group stage?

02 Aug 2016 12:10:02
I like him too Warrington just not sure we need him, I think we need one RB and one LB at least and play byram when we can, worryingly we don't seem to be going after any RB though at the moment.

02 Aug 2016 12:51:50
I just hope SB doesn't see Antonio as a RB with Byram as 2nd choice that would be a waste, Personally I do not want Antonio associated with the tag RB unless were in such a position no one else is available.

02 Aug 2016 10:31:24
20m for Ayew is absurd, why not swap Sakho for Berahino and give an extra fee? IRON MIKE what do you think?

02 Aug 2016 11:33:21
ayew is good beharino isn't is the short answer, plus beharino would be whining after one game on the bench.

02 Aug 2016 13:25:05
I think it only seems that way because we could have had him on a free last year. Personally I think that's pretty decent value for money given how well he played last season, he's only 26 and he'll fit perfectly into our team as he can play up top or on the wing. Berahino is more hassle than he's worth, we don't need bad eggs in the squad.
