So it was Cresswell signing a new contract then, that was the announcement.

evening all, we should insist Ironmike doesn't go anywhere as the weekend was quiet, Friday saw a huge sigh of relief in getting Payet in & signed, a couple more ins & outs and wow! and what a great return in getting Julian Dicks - doubt we'll get fairplay award next season (only joking) but great to have someone so passionate on the touchline, if Nolan goes, good luck to him, I think we had one season too many with him, but had SA still been in situ we may well be building around him again! doesn't bear thinking about, let's get Remy/Song/Jenkinson and what an incredible squad then

I think this announcement is going to be song signing permanently

I think it will be a change of captaincy announcement.
Maybe that we have mutually terminated nolans contract. Would be a very good day if that's the case.

Yeah I'd take either

Yeah this Borini rumour must be rubbish! 8m and 100k a week, surely not? What a step backwards that would be

{Ed001's Note - 100k a week? He is on a lot less at Liverpool, and rejected a big pay rise to move to either Sunderland or QPR last summer. He is not after money mate. He wants to prove himself, so it wouldn't matter about the wages, he will want guarantees of playing time far more. One player you can be very sure is not all about the money or he would have joined QPR and raked it in.}

But Ed001 we don't want him even if he plays for free and costs nothing.
Even Carlton was better than him!

{Ed001's Note - seriously that is so clearly untrue, you might not want him but the lad is a much better player than he is given credit for. He was good for a woeful Sunderland side and has been treated appallingly by Rodgers at Liverpool. Carlton Cole struggled to get double figures as a central striker when everything was laid on a plate for him, while Borini got double figures from a wide position at Sunderland when they were barely creating anything. Oh and the lad will run himself into the ground, while Cole is a lazy *censored*.}
