I think this Chelsea Swap deal for Valencia is agents talk only, however, if it were true I'd be inclined to try and hang on to him.
At the moment, his manager doesn;t instil any confidence in the player, he gets played out of position and he is currently a bit lightweight for the premier league. However, if we could get a manager that's actually going to use him for his pace (as we did at the start of the season with him and Sakho in tandom) he could turn out to be one hell of a buy.
The issue of course as we all know isn't the player!
We need to keep Valencia he was playing so well when Carroll and Nolan were out of the team. I don't think Sam will drop Carroll but we played some amazing football when both Carroll and Nolan were out of the team. Since Carroll came back we haven't been the same and I know he's scored a couple of goals but he's not as mobile as Valencia or Sahko and Nolan doesn't offer anything unfortunately.
I want to see us move forward and we should try and sign Remy and ship out Carroll then we would have an even more mobile front line and would score more goals. I know this is unrealistic but would be the way for us to move forwards.
Hopefully we kick on and beat Liverpool at the weekend not a bad time to play them let's hope we get a result.
I wouldn't get rid of carroll! when we're playing teams with 10 men behind the ball he is a very good second option!
