Its going to be out of two managers. Either "Dick" Emery or El Loco. Either would be great for us but if its El Loco we best get fit. Nolan and all the old players are going because he plays the "BARCELONA" high press. Guardiola and Simeone were his pupils and look at how they turned out.
He did well on a very limited budget at Marseille but worryingly has never won silver ware

Ah well. let's take a good, long hard look at where we are.

1. We are managerless, and to be honest, some of the names being banded about are quite worrying! Di Matteo, who managed a Chelsea team that my 6 year old could have managed and who has done nothing since. Slaven (who I enjoyed watching at West Ham) but is he really the man to take us to the next level. UNAI Emry if we could get may just be the jewel in the crown (its some feat taking the same side to Europa League final). And finally Carlo Ancelotti who has done well everywhere he has been and loves london. May I suggest that this situation gets sorted very quickly prior to Europa League qualifiation

2. Players - We've made it into the Europa League (god help us) and some of our players are not worthy or fit to play in such a competition. The squad needs a major overhaul starting with NOLAN, O'Brien etc and we need to move quick to ensure what players we target we GET.

Hi Phil I got to be honest i'm not even thinking about players at the moment until the manager situation is sorted out there's been quite a few names linked with the job so i'm guessing DGS will be very thorough with the recruitment process I saw an interview yesterday where gold was saying they will definatly appoint a big name but wasnt sure if he meant a big name manager or a big name player that's become a manager i'm with you on di matteo don't fancy him managing us one bit although I think slaven billic could do a decent job I guess once the manager position is filled the player thing will take care of itself I just can't see where we are going to ship nolan o'brien and co off to on thier massive wages

Couldn't agree more with you REDROBBO2.

I am concerned about the timeframe involved in all this and having seen how Spurs, Everton, Hull and Swansea all struggled previousy with EuropaLeague commitment I hope for our sakes we get a manager who has had success and won something in Europe and knows how to motivate and rotate his squad for a long season ahead. In that respect, we must look at KLOPP, Emry, ANCELOTTI. As much as Slaven would be a good choice by some, he hasn't succeeded in Europe

Ancelotti is planned to have spinal surgery and won't manage for 1 Year so we can rule him out.
