It becoming quickly apparent that West Ham will be left with a shortfall in strikers. Carlton Cole has left possibly to MLS, Modibo Maiga is due to go to marseille for £5m, Wellington Paulista returned to Vasco De Gama. Romelu Lukaku has made it clear he wants to go to a club playing European Football. Andy Carroll wants to return to Liverpool but Brendan Rogers will only have him back if he takes reduction in wages. All this leaves West ham a little bit out on a limb. Darren Bent has expressed his wishes to play for a London Club and Gary Hooper wants to test himself in the premier league, but knowing West ham they will probably get cheap deals in for Peter Crouch and some unknown 10 bob striker from Europe
