is that true about tony Carr being let go and only given 14 grand redundancy money?

26 Jul 2016 18:24:55
I've heard a few of you mention about Antonio playing up top, got to admit it I think he could adapt into a great striker, Thierry Henry was a winger before he joined Arsenal and look how that ended up. He could be the 20 goal a season striker we need. Lol.

26 Jul 2016 16:18:16
chill out fellas arsenal signing ben yedder will mean walcott is avaliable hahaha.

26 Jul 2016 16:27:48
Wonderful another long term injury in the pipeline,

West Ham United are set to announce the loan signing of Argentine striker Jonathan Calleri, according to the Evening Standard.

The 22-year-old is to join the Hammers as Slaven Bilic looks to strengthen his forward line for the new season. Has anyone heard if Calleri has undergone a medical.

26 Jul 2016 16:36:16
not yet various reports say he is going to leave olympic squad fly over and finalise deal no idea how accurate those reports are though.

26 Jul 2016 15:29:16
Typical West Ham chasing everyone signing no one, we spend too much time waiting for a answer from players then to be told no, like bacca, vermalaen, laciette, batty, why don't we just go for targets our level, fletcher, Defoe, etc we are a joke, after such a great year last year complete opposite this year, dreading it laughing stock.

26 Jul 2016 16:04:05
I would settle for Remy at this point!

26 Jul 2016 16:20:19
Except of course BESIKTAS are hoping to start talks with Chelsea and the player very shortly in the hope he can be Mario Gomez replacement. There goes another one.

26 Jul 2016 16:22:03
Anyone for Bony? Well, Everton are VERY interested in him being replacement when Lukaku goes (why don't we bid £65m for Lukaku, NOT! ) . I'm just trying to figure out how many more strikers are available on loan apart from BONY and REMY, who co both do a half decent job for us!

It seems the idea of Ben Yedder going to Arsenal is not going down well with the fans:

"This is an embarrassment. If Ben Yedder goes to Arsenal we are officially a laughing stock" July 26, 2016

"Looks like we're missing out on Ben yedder. why offer a loan deal. Genuinely disappointed.
July 26, 2016

"Ooooo let's try and loan him, oooo let's offer him less than what he's worth. In come a Champions League club a week later. Deal gone"
July 26, 2016

"BREAKING: Wissam Ben Yedder will sign for Arsenal or Seville in the next few hours" July 26, 2016

"We are a joke, sell all those season tickets and all mouth in the transfer window. Get Ben Yedder and be done with it" July 26, 2016.

Hi Phil

I take it your not a happy bunny, I have to admit this is getting a bit of a joke and like you said embarrassing, obviously we do not know the ins and outs of negotiations, and how we approach a player initially, but every time we are linked with a striker it goes t**s up.

Are we being realistic in the players we are after?, as it seems we go for a top players and ponce about trying to do a deal only for so called lesser players to be snapped up while were playing Charlie Big Potatoes " Look who we have bid for" with strikers that really we don't have a chance with any way

It also p***** me off when Sullivan went public on the Tevas thing, why, so what if he wants to stay where he is, I bet China offered him more than £250k a week.

Any way, I look forward to other players being mentioned, if nothing else it is broadening my knowledge on foreign players.

26 Jul 2016 11:58:04
HI Warrington. I reckon that half the problem is that we are trying to punch above our weight hence why strikers we keep targeting want Champions League football. Can't fault the owners for trying but very naïve to say before window was open that we would pay over £20m for a 20+ goals a season striker!
And now of course we find it hard to nail down a target and injuries are mounting up!

26 Jul 2016 11:38:29
to be honest I think we would be lucky to land a top striker now I think we need to sort out the full back positions first and foremost I know there's still a few weeks left in this window but if the worst comes to the worst and we don't gt a striker we are no worse than last year as it stands and we scored plenty of goals then, but I don't fancy going into a new season without a LB, think we an forget a RB as it seems antonio is playing there as much as I don't like it.

26 Jul 2016 13:02:08
We could always play Antonio up front, we could do a lot worse at this stage and then go get Left and Right Backs. At least if the defence is reasonably solid against Chelsea and City we might get away with a sneaky win or draw but to face those two teams without proper Left and Right backs is asking for a beating and this worries me more than Striker situation!

26 Jul 2016 13:09:54
Hi Rob

I feel we need both a RB and LB, agree with striker if we get one great but the options are running out, we have Carroll Calleri and Fletcher upfront, I'm not sure Sakho or Valencia will be there. We also have Tony Martinez but his mainly for future, I said sometime ago given the chance Fletcher could be a surprise given the chance, he has started well, but defo agree our Full Backs need cover, I also think Antonio could do a job up front given the chance. So basically agree let's get covered at the back and I'm sure the goals will come with or without another striker,

26 Jul 2016 13:23:32
if the worst did come to the worst I guess we could play with 3 centre half's and wing backs, but Yeh I agree phil I think we are better going for a LB and RB but fear antonio is the RB now, could always make a daft suggestion like playing byram t RB but everyone would laugh at me lol.

26 Jul 2016 13:30:22
zwe might be able to get someone like remy on loan no where near my first choice but might do a bit of a job until January or next year what I hope doesn't happen is we wste money on someone that isn't that good.

26 Jul 2016 13:52:21
Not a bad shout in Remy. Not one of my favourites but he can certainly put the ball in the back of the net as he showed recently bagging a hat trick and Chelsea's 8-0 friendly win!

We have to sort the full backs out. They need to open the flippin wallets and go get the Norwich boys Brady and Olsson!
We could then get rid of Valencia and Sakho and get Remy who when fit and in the right mood scores goals.

I find it frustrating and worrying when our owners have £100m to spend and we go for the loan options.

Phil like you I've been pushing for Yedder all summer. I think he's a class act he's been my number one striker for the last couple of months above Lacazette, Batshuayi, Bacca etc and at only 8m? I honestly believe he could of been this year's Payet for us. Apparently we've been trying to loan him? Considering the timing and our striker problems I would of just thrown 15m at them offered him good wages and just got him over the line asap and not he looks like he's off to Arsenal to rip up the league. From the start of the summer with the Lacazette saga, what we were prepared to pay Tevez, the Bacca saga, Antonio at right back, Cresswell injured until Christmas. the list goes on. We've got 3 strikers at the moment, 2 want out and the other ones always injured. We had issues at the back last season leaking sloppy goals and this was something we had to address. What have we done. Got rid of Tomkin's who was our cover at centre back and right back, trying to convert Antonio into a top right back? And no cover for Cresswell where most of our attacks start from. O and let's not forget Lanzini our little jewel, out injured and Payet no doubt will start off slow after all he's efforts at the Euros. If Randolph wants out that's another keeper needed, a couple of strikers a left back, a right back and possibly another midfielder. We're about to kick off our Europa league campaign and our first premier league game away at Chelsea under the lights live on ssn is just round the corner. Players to one side let's not forget the rapping kit launch and the fact that we've had years to sort out this stadium- still having problems with the mickey mouse retractable seating, the East stand being miles away from the pitch and the wrap and digital screen not being completed until October? I was so excited for this season, the new stadium, the sky money the promise of a team which can push on and battle near the top of the league. the way we ended last season, the closing ceremony all the PR we had the momentum with us. There's a lot of eyes going to be on us this season. In regards to the stadium there are a lot of bitter, jealous fans from other clubs that are waiting for us to slip up. We just had to do 2 things. Throw some money at the team, Pull in a couple of marquee players to show we mean business and make sure the stadiums ready ofcourse! This Ben Yedder thing is the last straw for me! all the empty promises. I'm sure they got the season tickets sold! I'm sure were get a couple of players to fill the positions but we're be scrapping the bottom of the barrel now. They won't be the players we want or should of got the stadium will still pridomantly be an Olympic stadium made to look like a football stadium and if we continue to go about things the way we do I. e Bacca, Tevez, Ben Yedder, rap launch late stadium wrap etc etc. we will just look like a tin pot club trying to mix it with the big boys. In regards to our beloved Hammers I've literally lost all my enthusiasm for the start of this season. I'm off work today and now I've got this rant out of me I'm going to have a drink and think about something else!

26 Jul 2016 14:29:12
nice rant woz haha enjoy some beers lol, I'm not a big fan of loans phil as I've said before but in some cases like this where it's looking increasingly likely we aren't going to get a top striker we can get someone in without having to spend a load of dosh on someone we don't really want it might work same as for LB cover we could get someone fo a season then hendrie may be OK to step up by the way woz just to top it off ballotelli will be unveiled as our new striker on deadline day lol.

26 Jul 2016 14:33:34
Wow, you sound like me and how a lot of other hammers fans are feeling. A lot of frustration out there because as you say, it seems as though the FANS were promised a lot as always, and expectations were high, but the fans have come back down to earth with a VERY Disappointing and HARD THUMP. The reason I wanted Ben Yedder is because he has the pace of Vardy and skill of Mahrez but he also has exceptional strength on the ball (the fact that Arsenal and Sevilla are now after him are proof of that) . Apparently SLAVEN BILIC thinks he is to small (Possibly like Messi or AGuero cause they are huge of course - What a LOAD OF SH_T)

As you quiet rightly pointed out, this kid who is too small, single Handedly kept Toulose afloat for 4 seasons against some of the best French Defenders (which premier league teams are now snapping up) . Too small, RUBBISH!

What does me the most about our Transfer Business is the same old "West Ham are watching, Interested in, Pondering over, Mulling on the potential".

We will now end up with some crap that we don't want a la Eminike last season! HOW can the same people POSSIBLY identify EMINIKE as the answer to our scoring issues and the same people think Ben Yedder is too small.

Then there are our defensive short comings. We have sold Tomkins (who I really liked and who did a fairly good job ) with no ready replacement in the market but we are not ready to let Valencia go (Who is garbage) unless we have a replacement. WTF is going on. Sakho is the same. He WANTS to go so let him!

Its a mess and rapidly turning into an embarrassment!

26 Jul 2016 14:35:30
Ha he ha Balotelli, EMinike or Carlton COle,

26 Jul 2016 14:39:42
Oh yeah, Just to make things a bit clearer, the agent of MArio Mandzukic has stated he is going NOWHERE. He will fight for a place at Juventus despite the arrival of Higuain!

WHat value Ben Yedder NOW! OH, and we are linked with Norwich Full backs.

Ever get the feeling we would be better conducting West Ham transfer business?

26 Jul 2016 15:56:21
I agree with all the last above posts, feel like we have been let down! And after hearing how far the seats are going to be away from pitch I would of not bought a 1966 seat! I'm feeling bit ripped off right now.
