WHU only going to sign a Spurs reject up front if they are lucky. All the names linked to Hammers & nothing happened. 5 days to in transfer window & need at least 3 or 4 players. It will be the same as the winter window. So don't expect anyone to sign for the Hammers.

26 Aug 2015 21:03:10
Were taking too long with deals and nothing is getting done, players are either changing there minds or there clubs are.
Seville wanted lorente, so they went and got him asap, we're just waiting for players to ask if they can play for us for free

26 Aug 2015 16:35:45
I have said before and I will say it again, I don't believe any of it about we have bid this, bid that etc for players. I think the board have put their cheque books away and doubt we will sign anyone, maybe the odd loan signing of someone nobody else wants.

26 Aug 2015 17:31:05
Well if your right, and of course you could be? We will be candidates for relegation, without the combination of decent strikers, getting service, and a solid defence, backed by a decent gk, with our current injury problems and no. Back up, the only way is down, ,I think that's obvious to everybody , DO DGS want to take that risk before the stadium entry, I HOPE NOT! Regards IRONMIKE

26 Aug 2015 20:29:24
If we do sign someone decent for a fee I will be straight on here admitting I am wrong, humble pie doesn't taste so bad! lol

26 Aug 2015 14:54:23
Ironmike hot of the press! Just heard DGS are in talks with a trio of players, Tony Cottee, Tony Cascarino, and Frank Macvennie.

26 Aug 2015 16:44:38
AND jimmy greaves! IRONMIKE

26 Aug 2015 16:50:29
Don't forget the wide man Alan Devonshire

26 Aug 2015 13:58:48
I see clubs are now lining up to join the campaign for a public enquiry into our OS deal. What are the chances of us finding out that the deal is crooked and we get hit with a massive fine or worse, that would be the last straw in the farce that is currently going on at west ham, injured players allegedly not getting treated, others probably going to jail, no money to spend and no chance of staying in the prem. It's going to be a long hard season chaps.

26 Aug 2015 18:40:16
Cloth, WH did not bung anyone, there we not death threats, nor no one kindkapp.

The bidding was open to the whole world, WH put their proposal and was acceptable to the powers that be.

What ever the moral standing in tax payers money etc , that's the committee that chose our proposal responsibility. We are our business and our proposal was a put across as much, any declaration asking from these public enquiry groups need to be answered by the committee who chose us and not WH.

My opinion only but I'm not losing sleep over this

26 Aug 2015 12:49:54
I have just had a thought, is this all meant to happen for Migia.

He was all but off to SA, now it looks like he will be our only striker against Liverpool.

I can see him scoring 2 goals us winning 3-1 and keeping him for the season, where he will go on to score 28 goals, 3 of them in the FA cup final and become a West ham hero

Years later we will be able to tell our Grand Children how the West ham legend Migia nearly left in the Aug 2015 transfer window until injury's made him stay.

And explain to the wee nippers, in that same transfer window the DGS actually signed a wide player and a striker. and we all lived happy ever after!!!

26 Aug 2015 13:33:29
Lol, can't see it SORRY

26 Aug 2015 14:00:46
Scoring TWO goals, you can't be serious!!

26 Aug 2015 14:18:04
You forgot to add super kev Nolan was moved up front where he was a revelation scoring 32 goals the most meme able being a Trevor brooking style diving header in the 5 nil fa cup semi final mauling of the spuds

26 Aug 2015 14:36:50
Wake up mate you're dreaming

26 Aug 2015 15:15:56
Yeah, exactly why was NOLAN playing up front

26 Aug 2015 16:38:44
What the hell are you on Warrington Seymour? Can I have some, might start imagining that we actually signed someone and not made stupid offers.

26 Aug 2015 19:15:48
Sorry Gerry just trying to lighten things up at this frustrating time

26 Aug 2015 20:42:18
Frustrating mate, this place is the only thing keeping me sane. I am sure we are all fed up with all the derisory offers they keep making.
Most of us accept that we don't spend as much as Chelsea, the Mancs, the Arse, Liverpool and even the spuds but when Stoke, Palace, Swansea et al outspend and sign players in front of us it is a JOKE.
Every window is the same, wait till the last few days of the fire sale and maybe we will get a bargain, if we don't, never mind, well we do mind!

26 Aug 2015 12:13:27
Am 99% sure I can't speak for all West Ham fans here when I say I'm totally p'd off with the going go on at West Ham United at this moment of the window. Palace, Stoke and West Brom must be laughing there heads off at us and our inability to secure a striker. Linked with everyone but not willing to pay the going rate seems to be the new West Ham way and it's just not on. Haggling over a few million is loosing targets which could place is in a bad situation come the season run in so why do it. Pay the going rate for Yilmaz and Austin and get business done or we will be the laughing stock with the massive shiny new stadium in the championship next year.

26 Aug 2015 20:43:06
Agree 100%

26 Aug 2015 12:12:01
Watched Liverpool v Arsenal, Benteke is going to murder us. Might have a tenner on 6-0.

26 Aug 2015 11:51:29
Now i'm really worried about all this.

This is an absolute frigging joke, its like Tweedledee Dee and Tweedledum looking after the transfer side of things.

OPEN YOUR FRIGGING WALLETS YOU PAIR OF IDIOTS AND WAKE UP AND SEE WHAT EVERY OTHER WESTHAM PERSON CAN SEE!!!

If we pay a few mill more to get what we need than so be it, its football. , your get the money back in the long run

If they don't bring anyone in, and have the audacity to slag of SB if things are not going well, they need to hear our thoughts at home games

26 Aug 2015 12:12:17
Hi Warrington Seymour

Its not happening dude. Every target we find we ALWAYS underbid. CHelsea wanted close to £10m for Moses so we apparently bid £6m. Galatasary want £6.5m reportedly and we bid initially £3.5m (at least one other bid has gone in more recently). Its the same old story and now JARVIS says he doesn't wanna go to Forest in the Antonio deal (since when did he have a choice). Get out or rot in the reserves! Valencia wants out, Sakho could go to jail and (saving the best till last) we've stopped Maiga leaving cause WE HAVE NO STRIKER BACKUP. WTF is going on. WHat happens this weekend if Randolph gets injured??? Its a calamity and a farce. God help SB.

26 Aug 2015 13:06:21
Totally agree the honeymoon period is over for GansS and there sidekick brady now this is the third transfer period in a row they have made a complete hash of,forget the rubbish about "look where we were when they took over"rubbish yes they have invested some cash but not a fortune in comparison to there worth and its only a loan anybody who thinks they won't get all that back in spades when we get to the OS is deluded.like I have said before get of the pot or step aside because we are getting left behind,Teams like palace Swansea stoke Southampton are becoming a more appealing proposition than west ham and it grates big time.

26 Aug 2015 11:09:21
Looking forward to Ironmike's update, hopefully sooner rather than later, i'm hoping he will report

Moses. Signed
Yilmaz . Signed
Song. Signed
Green. Signed
Antonio. Signed
Zaza. Signed
Sullivan. P**s*d

I would bet, . the last on the list to be true!!

26 Aug 2015 16:41:37
Again, what are you on? No signings no nothing happening!

26 Aug 2015 09:46:17
Its getting better by the hour and Now VALENCIA wants OUT.

26 Aug 2015 09:09:25
Good Morning,

Here we are on this dreary morning ( in London), 4 days after the Bournemouth, defeat, 11 days after the Leicester defeat, and Surprise Surprise ( RIP Cilla) still nothing to show in the transfer market.

Is anyone else getting totally fed up with all of this? or just me. All I'm hearing and reading is were after nearly every wide player and striker on earth but nothing seems closer than 2 weeks ago.

With the GK situation is was identified well before the season started Randolph ( no disrespect to the lad) is not good enough cover, where have we gone from there, reports last week said maybe getting Green, all gone quiet
Cover in defence. all gone quiet

What has not gone quiet is a search for wide player/s and striker/s, unfortunately as usual with WH, we ponce about offering £5 quid for a £5 million player, and than gradually work our way towards an agreed price, and low and behold every other club has time to react make an approach, or change minds which looks like Juve have done with Zaza.

I hope were not going to get in a desperation stage ( if not already) and buy any old crap, as Ironmike said, rather than waste money in desperation stay as we are, and live to bid another day, buts that's a dangerous position to be in with what it seems other so called smaller Prem clubs look strong

What I find really really annoying is that the like of Palace, Stoke, Leicester, Newcastle etc, all teams we should be above in my view, seems to have done business in the correct way, identify the players needed to play a style the manager wants and buy them. end of, any other additions would be a bonus but at least the core is there.

What the DGS seems to have done is go for every frigging player and more some, we seem to have so many irons in the fire ( no pun intended) with so many players for the positions needed, that we are trying to offer sums that the DGS know won't get accepted, we than negotiate for a year or 2 and end and up losing them anyway,

It seems to me their thinking is " if he does not come, the other player will, and if that one does not come, than this player will, . well DGS none may come, concentrate on getting something over the line!!

I know they want value for money, which we all do, but we need players, these are not cover players these are ESSENTIAL PLAYERS,

Im really getting worried how late in the day this is all getting, we have already lost against 2 teams at home, that could be said before season started could in relegation battle,

Cross fingers we hear more positive news today

26 Aug 2015 11:08:20
As we all know, we won;t. I've been saying excatly what you've just said and nobody listens. We've had all summer to sort this out and we still can't get it right. Valencia now doesn;t want to be here. Sakho is going to Jail and Carroll may be off to Sevilla (hopefully) and what have we done, lined up a loan deal for Adebayor what a piss take. This weekend is not going to be pleasent watching. We have no strikers, don't look confident on the ball and can't defend so it could be a cricket score at Anfield. We lost at home to teams that we SHOULD AT LEAST be drawing with. WOrried for this season ahead and SAME OLD WEST HAM BS Stories

26 Aug 2015 11:10:02
Speaking of us trying to save money, how many ludicrous bids have we gone to Galatasaray with!!

26 Aug 2015 08:55:50
So it seems we have been linked with MOSES (bid may or may not have gone in. I'm not sure anymore), Januzaj (who every other team is after and Manchester United won;t relaese until they have a replacement, Antonio £5m and Jarvis (if you believe it), Lennon who could be released on loan from SPUDS, Yilmaz (god only knows what's happening with him cause we've made at LEAST 3 bids under the asking price), Adebayor who is available on loan but wages will be the stumbling block or LEVY will pull the plug at the last minute, ZAZA (another none goer apparently who is now staying at JUVE). We are now being linked with these players (and there will be more bearing in mind we've had ALL SUMMER to sort this out) who wants to bet that Sullivan or his son will make a major announcement on Sunday and tell us "the great news is we've secured ALEX SONG"

26 Aug 2015 08:47:14
We'll surely get noone now and end up keeping maiga. Carlton cole bk on loan. don't go to bed.

26 Aug 2015 08:56:59
Ha ha how right you are. West ham are apparently delaying MAIGA's move becauswe we have no replacement WTF

26 Aug 2015 08:38:01
The worst thing is that we approach clubs and mess about for weeks over price (trying to save a buck as we did with BONY before we went for Carroll and look how that worked out) and then along comes another team who goes straight in (Swansea for example) and offers what they ask and we lose out TIME and TIME again. And then we are left with the players nobody else wants at the last minute (this window it will probably Adebayor).
For gods sake just pay the asking price and get the players we need and WE NEED WINGERS and a STRIKER

26 Aug 2015 09:20:35
I agree Phil, have just posted something similar before I read your post, glad someone has same opinion

26 Aug 2015 08:31:42
I think Gerry P has hit the nail on the head and I think our forward line needs an overhaul. Sakho is the only one who looks hungry and he's going to jail.
