Glad we got the late winner yesterday, I am sure that it was a bit of a boost to the players. In fairness we should have put the game to bed earlier though with the chances we had.
It is clear that Rav does have the ability at this level, and I hope he can bring it into the league games soon. He could become be a key player for us this season if he keeps on scoring like he is, especially given our lack of firepower at the moment.
With Nolan's inconsistency and his ability to drift out of games for long periods of time it is an interesting proposition as to whether it is best to see Rav play here and leave Kev on the bench once or twice (not all the time). Kev would be a great impact sub and Diame is a huge driving force in the centre, and wasted on the wing until Donwning and Cole return.
The question is though, would we want to leave out our captain? His influence is key on and off the pitch!
Also it was good to see RVT get another goal, he clearly wants to prove himself upfront and I hope he gets his chance up front soon in the League. Collison was also good yesterday, it was mad of those who suggested that he should have gone this season.
Well nobles banned so if ravel steps up to the plate then he may well struggle to get back into the side.
what we don't want to do is a raheem sterling over play him.
would like to see g/s tie some of the players up 2 longer contracts ie reid /ravel /diame
