On the plus side guys elliot Lee might get a wee bit of game time now was hoping reeve Burke would as well seeing as I thought he did well last year

26 Aug 2015 06:15:00
Elliot Lee? Everyone wants him to do well as he came through the ranks, but we have to realise he just isn't good enough for the prem. He needs to do a Sears and drop down a couple of levels to play regularly and then try and move up again.
Sorry should be nowhere near the first team.

26 Aug 2015 08:44:55
Reece Burke has been loaned out for part of the coming season

Ed. sorry to be a nuisance. I'm getting a bit confused about the agree / disagree. I know it says do you agree to the post above, but when you do, it seems to appear as if you have agreed to the one below. Does this make sense? Anything we can do about it to make it more clear as to which post we agree or don't agree with? Or is this some other department that does this?

{Ed033's Note - How about going to the liverpool rumours site and see if the agree/disagree buttons are better situated on that site. If they are, i can do the same on here

Hi chaps
Why oh why does our business seem to be such a drawn out drama affair.?

I know everything is complicated with budgets negotiations etc but it seems hard work.
yes we do need quality players can't we do business in the players own environment?, if a negotiation is going well with agent, fly over with our medical team solicitors etc and do the business as quick as possible, prob not that easy but I'm really getting worried now
.

25 Aug 2015 22:12:49
My opinion is they just want cheap I undrstand our funds aren't limitless but as I've said before everyone on this site knew we needed a striker last Xmas and there done nothing about it until now when we have no fit first team strikers it's a ridicules situation for a pl club to be in

25 Aug 2015 18:02:10
Ed, how often is page updated please? I'm not sure if my page is slow updating thanks

{Ed001's Note - depends on how often posts come in and when there are editors available to update it.}

25 Aug 2015 18:42:33
Ok thanks Ed, thought was my pad and connection your all doing great job on this much appreciated

{Ed001's Note - no mate sorry, we don't have it set to auto update when there is nothing changed. Ed033 is currently working on live feeds for the profiles, so no one needs to refresh then and you can keep an eye on all the sites you have been posting on that way. I don't know how long that will take him to do though.}

Januzaj or itube
Moses or gervinho
And then zaza. That's got to be our 3

25 Aug 2015 18:43:27
No Yilmaz .?

25 Aug 2015 17:02:02
Ironmike, how much do you think we have left in budget adding in the Moibo move? the sum just for buying and loan fees,

25 Aug 2015 18:25:25
Im sticking to my pre season estimate budget of 42 m less already almost 27' leaves max 15 plus Maiga say 16 now to stay on the conservative side Of course I could be wrong. BUT it's not shaping up like that!! IRONMIKE

25 Aug 2015 16:16:54
It would be nice to get a right footed winger and a left footed winger

25 Aug 2015 14:28:29
All the talk about signing Adnan Januzaj, why isn't Martin Samuelsen given a chance? Similar player and looked really good when I saw him.

25 Aug 2015 16:21:47
Is he a wide player Gerry .?

25 Aug 2015 17:05:14
I think Janujaz is being talked up, wh made an enquiry about him , couple of weeks past, but where told there is only a slight chance of him leaving on loan, further to that Everton and Sunderland are in pole position on this one , so there is a possibility BUT not a big one IRONMIKE

25 Aug 2015 11:06:17
I think I heard Lescott is free to leave WBA as soon as someone comes in, not sure of a fee but it must be nominal, I know he is getting on and the best days are past, but if we let Ginge go, could it be a cheap cover for CB, he has experience and sure he can still do a job

Any comments?

25 Aug 2015 11:25:48
Lescott wants to stay in midlands where he lives. At this time it's also likely that he will go to villa, also he's older than Collins, so with respect I don't see this one. Regards IRONMIKE

25 Aug 2015 14:11:27
I agree, wouldn't want to swap Lescott for ginge!

25 Aug 2015 16:37:13
It wasn't meant as a swap Gerry , I don't want Ginge to go but think his last year contract they may cash in or and he wants to play and I can't see SB giving him much playing time

25 Aug 2015 11:00:21
Well, who knows what's going to happen over the next week?
I'm pleased to be linked with Yilmaz again though, he looks plenty capable of doing the business for us.
To be frank, I don't liker Adebayor and the fact he has been palmed off from Arsenal to Man City to Tottenham and now they want to palm him off, worries me somewhat.
He did an OK job for Sherwood, but I too would work harder if I have been given a chance to prove myself. I'm not too sure he has the strength of character to maintain it though.
I would rather leave Andy Carroll at West Ham as he does work hard and does score goals and make a nuisance of himself. Two wide players and Payet in the midfield and I think Carroll could do quite well. Agree with the posts about signing a new back who can hopefully play both sides and also holding onto Collins. I like the lad and he is fearless and will put his neck on the line to stop a goal. Why not leave somebody like Tomkins or Reid at the back when there are set pieces and when there are not, make sure either Cresswell or Jenkinson ( or hopefully the new RB) are in the right position to assist Collins if he is up against pace.

25 Aug 2015 14:13:56
I agree, but what ginge lacks in pace he usually makes up with positional sense. He gives 100% every game and also agree he sticks his head in where it hurts, unlike some of the others!

25 Aug 2015 10:49:56
I think yilmaz might come got subbed last night for galatasaray the fans went mental and he stormed out the stadium

25 Aug 2015 21:07:42
Cockney Turk. I want him to join as a player as I think he's a pretty class act. If he did storm out of the stadium though, this is a bit worrying. If he is hot headed and gets pissy when substituted, I think that could be detrimental to the atmosphere and spirit within the team and change room. We need a team player who does his best no matter what as long as he plays a role ( small or large), like Carlton Cole did. He was a great guy and never complained. Just did his job when asked to go on.

Good morning

I have just read that Seville want AC on loan for the season, I may be a bit behind the news but would that be such a bad thing?
AC in my view desperately needs a change of scenery, and it may benefit him to make a mini fresh start, not to mention freeing up his wages.

Could it be that we go for Adebayor ( hearing more and more reports on this) for the season to replace AC, love him or hate him but he has proved he can do a job with the right motivation. This would sort 1 striker problem with no outlay as his wages would marry what we are saving on AC, plus if we can rope Spurs into paying some of his wages the better.

If the Moses thing does not happen, I read we may be looking at Lennon, i'm wondering if we did approach Spurs for Lennon, Levy may try to push some kind of deal, combining Adebayor.

Its just a thought but considering AC injury record to have a swap so to speak may help us out in reliability in having a striker and budget wise.

In any situation if the AC rumour is true I would be open to let him go on loan, as long as we cover the position and do not contribute to his wages, can Seville afford his wages?
Thought i'd post a comment as waiting for a Ironmike update

25 Aug 2015 14:17:05
Adebayor over Carroll! are you having a bubble? Adebayor is great when he wants to be, he starts well for his new club then nothing. At least Carroll for all his faults gives 100%

25 Aug 2015 16:17:22
Letting AC go would be a huge mistake, he is worth nothing in the market at present because of his injuries, if he can prove his fitness it will not only get us a few points but also make him a saleable asset again.
AC over Adebayor every time!!

25 Aug 2015 09:21:33
Ok so 6 mil for Maiga when we would have taken a bag of chips, plus we get rid of his wages. Now If we put this money towards Austin it reduces his cost to 9 mil and his wages down to 45k a week. Makes better financial sense. However it also allows us to buy another body which may be more important. But the Maiga deal is a fantastic bit of business, dgs clearly know what they are doing, I am sure we will have some good deals done this week.

25 Aug 2015 13:25:18
I'd love to think this would happen Si, but I think DGS have perhaps scuppered this one for us!

25 Aug 2015 09:04:41
I think we need to be doing something about Diafra Sakho also because at this rate he's going to be in jail before very long
