It seems that the big debate rumbling on at the moment is how many games or points we have gained when the opposition have scored first.

Now, I'm not going to go into the depths of each and every point however, it does strike me that its the exact issue that the fans are unhappy with.

If you think that a fan pays good money to watch us week in week out and they are all wise enough to know that if the opposition score in the first few minutes its game over!

Sam's tactics as we all know are "We hold what we have and hopefully we'll get a chance to score". When we fall behind however we don;t know what else to do to put things right and get back into the game. The players visibly look lost!

This has to change first and foremost and in order to to do that we have to have creativity, pace and power.

Do the likes of Nolan, Carroll et al give us that. I would suggest NO!

A directive issued, in relation to Sam Allardyce keeping his managerial role, was that there would be transfer funds available for Sam to spend, albeit under the watchful eye of the board and with their approval.

Well it would appear that the transfer war-chest, this summer, is £15 million although it is also stipulated that any revenue generated by player sales will be added to that figure.

Looking around at the fringe players, in the squad, I`m not sure there`ll be much of an addition to that £15 million!

Do we really believe that Sam is going to be able to make wholesale changes to the team and the way we play on that sort of budget? I'm not so sure!

Only time will tell
