Your obviously speaking from the heart not the head which is understandable. I think we will sign a striker, who? is another matter, I've nothing against Downing who could turn out to be a very useful buy. but don't judge anything on Cardiff last Saturday. they were much poorer than sides we are going to meet. and they will likely be in the bottom 3 come end of season. Carroll will turn out a huge player for West Ham United but he is injury prone. surely signing a striker would have been a top priority. prior to Downing. especially as it looks likely Raheem Sterling, is coming on loan. loaded with midfielders and wingers. we cannot depend on Joe Cole and Nolan up front. we should be looking at two strikers and letting maiga go. as well as the obvious candidates for the exit door!
