The thing is baldock played 23 games and scored 5 hails last season in the championship, so he's not exactly going to light up the prem realistically is he? Also he's 23 and a half and therefore hardly a youngster and only has a couple of seasons max left of development (aided by first team football he's not good enough to get in the prem). And yes he scored 3 in 3 in pre season but they were against lower division teams so that doesn't really mean alot.
Us fans need to get out of this big Sam likes big strikers state of mind, Sam plays with three forwards, 2 of which are small an one target man. That is not unusual as it's I basically impossible to try and win playing three small strikers as there is no one to aim for when crossing. We need to get real and stop complaining, we don't play long ball football anymore, if we're in trouble at the back we clear it, just like any other team. Start to get behind the team!
