Saturday's defeat against Palace prompted the old 'You don't know what you're doing' chant from the Bobby Moore lower, and while I wouldn't go that far - I think time has come for club and manager to part ways.
Firstly, I appreciate what Sam has done for the club. Relegated, in a mess, with a number of players who either weren't good enough or just couldn't be arsed - Sam turned things around.
Promoted in his first season and finishing impressively in the top half of the table back in the top flight.
I will never and have never shouted 'Sam Out' or Tweeted David Gold abuse, begging him to get rid of our manager, but I do think it is time to part ways.
The owners may want stability, but with the number of people not renewing their season ticket next season And I am seriously contemplating my renewal), Upton Park could be half empty by the time we leave for the Olympic Stadium in two years-time should Sam still be in charge.
What can be done and if he did go who could we get!
Plenty of options around but I feel whoever it is needs to understand that its tha fans who pay the wages of these players and at the end of the day they want to be entertained.
Do the West ham fans really want to win the Sam Allardyce way? I somehow doubt it, and it can be clearly heard from the stands. I feel the club is losing direction and can only play one type of football. If that isn;t working we are (and this is not in dsipute) quite clearly a team with no clue and no alternative way of playing.
If the fans can see this then surely the board can also.
And finally, what's the betting that the board release some ridiculous rumour in the summer to try and sell season tickets when in fact they would sell me if they played direct attractive fast paced attacking football which gets you on your seats week in week out
Are you not entertained?
Great articles all West ham fans should see:
The Masked Magician:
You certainly won't be the only one like many of us we have come to realise the only way in which the owners will listen is by voting with our feet although it pains for me to do this. I can not contemplate seeing another season of this which is anything but football
Dennis Puxley
I am from a West Ham family – my dad and sister have season tickets – I was there in 1975, 1980 and years in the chicken run and East Stand Upper. watched Ron Greenwood’s, John Lyall’s and Harry’s Redknapp’s teams play the West Ham way.
I agree with your stance – like you I will be there for the last game at UP come hell or high-water – at 50 year’s of age its been an important part of my life. BFS has never got West Ham and represents the antithesis of everything this great football club stands for.
Without the DNA of attempting to develop young players, playing a passing game and supporting creative players we have no identity at all.
So well done for sticking to your guns – currently I am turning down free tickets to go to attend home games – after all football should be about entertainment and ‘glory’ and watching someone do something you couldn’t do yourself and getting you off your seat.
Time to get rid and bring back Pardew
I would love Pardew or Laudrup in charge. Time to turn up the heat on the FAT ALLARDYCE and the gutless BOARD. Stay away from our last home game and send a clear message
