Andy Carroll has just announced on Twitter that he requires around two weeks to get match fit and he will be available for selection again.

22 Aug 2015 07:34:09
Excellent news, we have really missed him up front.
Lets hope he can stay fit and prove all the doubters wrong.

COYI, 3 points tomorrow and I'll be satisfied. Ashame we haven't signed anyone, don't believe we will now. We need the win tomorrow and we're all be happier

Feel very worried about Randolph, more so than I was, written all over the place how crap he is and that Green is signing. His confidence was shot before all this, what the hell must it be like now?

22 Aug 2015 06:41:39
I know mate hardly going to give the lad confidence on his prem debut for us is it . hopefully he don't have to much to do

I have supported West ham for around 40 yrs now and can honestly say its never been boring. Moving to the new stadium is hard to take but I know we must move to proceed as a club and to be able to compete with the so called big boys. I understand how some of you feel regarding incoming transfers and all the rumours that come with them but we have to remember this is West Ham United and its what we do.Nothing surprises me anymore and shouldn`t you so let's get behind our team and back whoever we bring in and remember its for the greater good that sometimes we don't always get what we want or who we want.

well said big dad 👍

I for 1 can't wait for this window to firmly shut . there's been so much rubbish spouted it's ridiculous it's been clear for weeks that we're getting a midfielder (probably song) and a fourth choice striker. Uv all been hammers fans long enough to know that there's no way we will sign another goalkeeper when we have just signed a back up keeper (even if he clearly isn't good enough) there's no way we will sign a right back while j o brien is still at the club and there is absolutely zero chance of us signing another centre back . I hope I'm wrong I'd love to see another 4 or 5 come in . but it ain't happening. 3 points tommorow coyi!!

21 Aug 2015 19:11:21
Agree but can't see us signing anyone apart from Song.

21 Aug 2015 22:02:13
Could well be right there mate . I still think we've bought well especially with payet coming in . we've got some good youngsters coming through and the club is balanced on the financial front .not all doom and gloom is it

Can someone please tell me why have we not tried to sign Defoe on a short term deal, I can't stand him but there's no doubt he could do a job whilst we are desperate, we are one injury away from a crisis

21 Aug 2015 21:02:47
Because he'd want massive wages and didn't exactly set the world on fire last year

21 Aug 2015 15:42:15
Ironmike I wonder how long Billic will stay sound for if this transfer policy charade

21 Aug 2015 17:31:26
Do you mean stay around? No I am sure everything was told and explained to bilic before he became manager, there are no secrets at that level He pushed for payet and ogbonna, obiang was already a target, bilic is the one who has driven the song story, and, another loan for jenkinson, so as the playing squad gradually changes it will be his team no question about that, unfortunately others he has pushed for where for one reason or another too expensive either purchase, wages, or both, he was very keen on D'ambrosio, remy, mirallas, yilmaz and sow the story of the first three you know. Still a small chance on one of the other two? IRONMIKE

21 Aug 2015 12:59:10
How many more signings we going to lose out on, just go get joel Campbell

21 Aug 2015 14:51:32
I agree Todd, I know its hard and complicated signing players but bloody hell we have been after so many and nothing seems to be moving, and what will happen, last min panic and along comes Adebayor!! I know wages a massive issue but would love to see Defoe back, Ok his getting on but will Guarantee you goals without a doubt

Goals wins games no matter how old you are, I would offer Defoe £40K a week and basic and £20k a goal

I read a lot here from disgruntled fans who I think have short memories. I am a lifelong fan of over 50 years and have been there through all the ups and downs, part of the charm of being a hammers fan. But let's take a step back here, dgs have come into a club which they support, a club on its knees financially they have invested their own money in turning us back into a Premiership club, they have done the deal of the century with the OS, they have listened to fans over signings and manager. They clearly know what they are doing over signings, and know how to play the game with the propaganda. We all know what we need to sign and we all have our favourites, but unlike the dgs (and Ironmike) we are not privy to their information. If Austin was value at 15m then he would have gone already so he clearly has an issue, only chance qpr get their 15m is a panic buy. Don't be surprised if he does end up at west ham in the cheap, dgs ain't no fools but don't have the resources of the big boys so they need to be cute with their negotiations. They haven't done a bad job so far, so let's see what the final picture looks like before resulting in calling them names and questioning their tactics. All quite deliberate! Let's support our team COYI

West Ham fans,

I have been reading this site with baited breath for a number of months now. Just like you, I hope to get an incline of the players we may bring into the team.
What does strike me as amazing though is the clear lack of gratitude to Sullivan and Gould by some of you.
Football is not run with monopoly money and the money you say " we are spending" is the money that is invested by the owners.
How as much as I want Charlie Austin to join as well, if it was my money and I felt he had a dodgy knee, I would be reluctant to sign him too ( in spite of the fact that he scored 18 goals like season).
With the Andy Carroll saga ( being injury prone as well) , my belief is the club can ill afford to have two crocked players on the treatment table, even if the risk is only slight.
We are not Chelsea and we are not Man Utd, where we can afford to buy players for £10M and leave him in the reserves and then if he doesn't shape up , we move him out to another club on loan or sell him. We need and utilise most of our players during a season.
If Austin and Carroll ended up injured and West Ham began losing games due to the lack of goals, I would suggest that some fans would be complaining about DGS buying crocked players.
Stop banging on about how hard done by we all are and look at the positives this season. Ogbonna, Payet and Obiang to mention just 3. The squad is still better than it wa slast season and with Andy Carroll coming back, if he stays fit (god willing), we will still do better than last year. My opinion only of course.
Keep the faith, we have been in worse positions. Let's wait until the move to the OS and wait for investors, then we will be on another level and attracting better players with a far larger transfer kitty.

COYI64, in reply to you post concerning C Austin

Mini Stalin DS, had absolutely no right to go public and embarrass himself and OUR club with his comments, let alone the player himself.I can not see how he can make such comments on CA knees without WH giving him a full medical, plus if he does not fancy him as a player, that's fine don't sign him but keep your mouth shut and keep it to yourself. I'm wondering if he has done this deliberate as many fans want CA and he has no intention of signing him. to many Vodkas Sullivan, oh by the way CA record is
Swindon 51 APPS, 32 Goals
Burnley 69 Apps, 41 Goals
QPR 66 Apps, 37 Goals Total . 186 Apps . Goals 110

NOT BAD SOMEONE WITH DODGY KNEES!!!

21 Aug 2015 09:26:54
Sorry but everyone knew we needed a striker after last year after the injuries coincided with our poor run and we haven't signed one we've signed some decent players buht wasted money on others as for being ungrateful it costs me over half my weeks wages to come and see west ham which I spend each week happily but this I feel gives me the right to moan our stadium is full every week even in the championship it was with TV money and sponsorship I doubt it will take long before we are making a profit with the move imminent but what nine of us want is to be lied to we are being linked with all these names as we were last year and the year before and at the end of the day we will probably get a loan signing again

21 Aug 2015 09:47:04
COYI64 a very good post but I just think that as a hammers fan for a number of years we have never seen or heard of the current transfer activity and being nieave some believe ever rumour. Gold and Sullivan are supporters and have worked miracles from where we were when they took over. Yes we all want the team to progress but at the same time they have to add to the squad on the pitch and not the treatment table. The future is exciting for us hammers so we have to be patient and let the squared evolve. COYI

If we don't get vargas, we coming beyond a joke
