Transfer window over sum of our ambition to get out of freefall sean maguire 50k hell probably be loaned out to yeovil. chamahk he's had no form for over 3 years wellington unlikely we can hope! pogatetz not good enough for middleboro and joe cole the great enigma. next three games swansea home. villa away spurs at home how many points can anyone seriously see us getting? I cannot understand why we don't get a recognised goal scorer. all the top teams have let in more goals than usual. but apart from West Ham United they all have goalscorers in the team. if we had played like this 20 years ago we woukl have been top eight. the games changed even the weight of the ball players are smaller most teams have one or two big players for ariel we have 8 they are slower on pace and turn footballing sides are turning us inside out we have no viable alternative tactics lets hope we can scramble enough points to stay up after that were going to need great changes.
First posted the following a couple of weeks ago, and it still applies - We're still in debt to the tune of c. £90 odd mill, so I don't think there is massive money around. Agreed it would be great if we could buy a couple of defenders and replace Diame IF HE GOES, but we've got to be realistic. If we go down we'll still have huge debts, but if we spend big and go down they'll be even bigger and put the very existence of the club in doubt. It's a fine line, and whilst I agree with the sentiments of strengthening the squad, the club finances will dictate what happens. Have faith, BFS will see us through to the mega TV money in the prem next season. COYI.

Amazing that Sam Allardyce asks for £11m for Jarvis and he gets it. The he begs for Andy Carroll so they pull out all the stops to get him. When we really need a position to be strengthened he fails miserably and even loses out to a championship team. West ham brought in 2 strikers on loan in this window as well as having Maiga, Carroll and Cole totals 5 but they only ever play 1 up front so what's the point. By alla ccount Paulista is supposed to be pretty good but he needs a chance and he won;t get it at west ham and he will end up going out to some championship club on loan. Whata waste of time. Sooner West Ham United get relegated the better because they don't belong. Ambition? really!
Why does most fans think we only have 5 strikers carroll/cole/chamakh/maiga/vaz te/wellington/piquonne.

I can't agree enough. West ham were apparently supposed to be after so many targets and they end up with another bargain basement buy Pogatez. This highlights the ambition of the club. They now have 5 strikers when they only need one and none of them can score. They have over aged midfield that are past it and have no creativity. The defence is full of holes so it looks like relegation for the hammers. £11m wasted on Jarvis and £90k a week wasted on Carroll who can't score. Poor management of funds so time for a change {Ed039's Note - West Ham are only paying a portion of Carroll's £90k a week, but I do agree regardless of the figure, its a waste)
