Hi fellas, now it's almost nailed on that Sams going next week, we must look back and thank him for our progress the last four seasons, he was never a popular choice, but did what he was asked, and he won't be short of suitors, who are in a similar position to where we where four years ago, thanks Sam, fulham have been chasing him for months, but I am sure he will do a good job wherever it's his speciality, but wh must look forward and upwards, Sam only talks about avoiding relegation, we must look forward to better things, DGS have taken a brave descision, let's hope we get the luck to go with it IRONMIKE

couldnt agree more mike was never the man to take us to the next level but he did a good job in providing us with some stabilty while we needed it but now is the time to look onward and upward we need a manager that will match the clubs and the fans ambition as we move into the new stadium so thanks sam for what you achieved but the change was inevitable

I've been reading a lot of articles about Rafa Benitez being the favourite to replace Sam Allardyce at Upton Park.

Whilst I think he is the type of manager we need, I am not 100% convinced he is the right man for the job.

It concerns me slightly that he will only join West Ham as manager to use them as a stepping stone to a bigger club in a year or two.

Ironmike has said countless times the next 3 transfer windows are the most important in the clubs history, and if Benitez comes in with the sole intention of using West Ham as a stepping stone to bigger and better things. is he really going to go after players that can improve, or will he merely chase players that will be good for the short term.

I'd much rather see Frank De Boer or Slaven Bilic come in. I think they'd both be in it for the long haul.

hiya guys i'd love to see bilic in charge he's got great knowledge of european football massivly intellegent guy knows the club and more importantly the fans know him and would be right behind him from the start plus he's still pretty young in manigerial terms so would be a great long term choice

All things considered Frank De Boer would be a perfect match up and he would get us playing proper football AGAIN

Frank De Boer certainly looks like a logical appointment for the Hammers to make, as he is a young, progressive manager who plays attacking, stylish football. He has a proven record of bringing youth players through into the first-team set-up, and has experience of the European football that West Ham are so desperately aiming to achieve.

De Boer could prove to be the perfect boss for the Hammers
