How poor were we in the first half against Hull. Nolan and Noble in midfield are awful and this was confirmed with the introduction of Amalfitano. If this guy doesn;t get offered a contract its criminal.

He turned the game on its head and offered a more direct approach which produced immediate results

Totally agree with Amalfitano point, don't get me wrong, he doesn't always being that sort of impact to a game but yesterday was a different gravy! Has to be offered a longer contract. Perfect second half impact sub to help win a game

Anyoner heard anyhing from Ionmike recentl

{Ed001's Note - he is traveling mate.}

Can anyone shed anything on the rumour that we've been looking at Chris Samba (surely not on his wages)

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any interest being shown in him. It may well have arisen out of the time he spent with SA at Blackburn.}

To be fair there were a number of iffy performances against Hull. Noble played as bad as I have even seen him play and he is usually Mr stability. Nolan played better than normal but not well enough, Alex Song did play a Great pass to Downing but too many passes he played went astray, Tomkins looked baffled and unsure and Jenkinson was hit and miss. Best players on the park were Collins and Creswell. Amalfitano always surprises me and he turned the game on its head. Lastly, Valencia with two assists and heap loads of effort justified his place. To be fair, that type of performance just won't do in our next two league games which I think are against Liverpool and man Utd. We need to keep in mind that the 3-0 flattered us. We were playing a depleted Hull side at our ground. Anything less would have been a disgrace. let's not get ahead of ourselves. COYI!! Top 8 will be a good result but we can still hope for 5th.
