Ironmike , what are your thoughts if QPR lose again tonight, they haven't started great. I wonder will they drop the Austin price because they have stated they need his funds in order to rebuild the squad.

Just had a glimpse of this game, perhaps wh should consider abid for matt Phillips, as well, he looked good! IRONMIKE

I think vargas is a waste of time, he reminds me of zarate

Mike hammer, I think your comments are particularly unfair! Think about who brought the news on Vargas, moussa sow, alvaro negredo, ogbonna, D'ambrosio, Obiang FIRST, and that's just recently, IF YOU can do BETTER, I strongly SUGGEST YOU DO IT., I am NOT an ORACLE, and don't profess to be one, I strongly suggest you don't read my posts, and stick to news now, or something like that, Do you think wh WANT to read their business on sites like this Of course NOT, that's why it's difficult, to get precise information, BUT it would a lot easier. For me to read and criticise someone else! IRONMIKE

Ironmike, is there any chance WH may play Raphael Spiegel against Bournemouth if a GK does not come in which looks likely. I heard he was confident when on loan for Carlise, or would SB feel that Reckless Randolph deserves a chance still?

19 Aug 2015 19:30:12
Randolph is a signing that puzzled me from the moment it was, done DGs immediately blamed Allardyce, saying it was a done deal in his time, but they could have vetoed it and didn't! You may remember I went on about this time and again IF I spotted this immediately makes you wonder why DGS and SB didn't. WHEN they had PLENTY of time to deal with it, look as far as I am aware Randolph has small one year contract, so that's no problem , BUT it's a BIG problem that needs sorting out PERMANENTLY NOT odd gks on loan, IRONMIKE

Let's hope the WH boards offer for Austin stops him playing tonight. He gets injured and then what!!!??? # buy him now

Pedro on his way to Chelsea for talks?
Could this mean Loic Remy becomes available?

19 Aug 2015 12:58:05
It apossible, that's why I said wh phoned YESTERDAY!!! Regards IRONMIKE

19 Aug 2015 11:33:06
!!!! !!!!! Pedro is flying into London to finalise a deal with CHELSEA who have outbid MANUTD. Does this mean Loic Remy will now be available or are they sending him to Galatasaray who will release YILMAZ. Things will now start moving I believe

C'mon phil! I told you yesterday that WH phoned Chelsea!,, IRONMIKE

Me again. :-)
I was just reading an article about QPR and their financial position. Due to breaching financial fair play rules, they are looking at a fine of around £10M which could have been £58 Mill had they not appealed. Although it doesn't stipulate the conditions surrounding this possible reduction in the fine, I would anticipate that conditions surrounding this reduction would be offloading high earners and selling on some assets. Tony Fernandez recently injected an additional £60 Mill into the club but this in itself was a breach of rules, as it was clear they were just trying to offset the profits versus losses statement.
Now to inject £60 Mill to reduce the fine by £50 Mill makes no sense, so I would anticipate this injection as a temporary measure. This means they have to sell assets. These being Leroy Fer and Charlie Austin in order to meet the "possible" conditions surrounding the reduction in the fine. So, do QPR take the chance and hold out for £ 15Mill for Charlie Austin just so he can leave on a free next season or do they cash in on an offer that relieves the pressures and avoids the huge fine? IronMike made a comment some time back that QPR must be rueing the fact that they never accepted the £12 Mill offer by Leicester. In fact, to be fair, even then Charlie Austin may have decided not to move to Leicester anyway. With his preference being a London club and Tottenham and Chelsea no longer in pursuit, what are the options. You got it in one - The Irons.
See you soon Charlie. although my preference would still be Yilmaz or Sow. hopefully we get two of them.

I have been doing some reading relating to past interest in Burak Yilmaz over the last 2 years. Chelsea and the "special bum" sorry, the "special one" apparently enquired about Yilmaz around the same time they pursued Wayne Rooney and even though Galatasaray said quote unquote "‘If Burak wants to go and Chelsea are interested then of course the deal will happen. The price being bounded around at that time for Burak was £25 Mill.
Since then both Arsenal and Liverpool have sniffed around and neither signed him. Now understandably, he is 2 years older than he was then, but why would West Ham be able to secure his services now for £ 6,4 Mill. This is baffling to see such a drop in value considering the prices being paid for players nowadays.
Why did none of those teams pursue him. It's a mystery really because he is still scoring goals. This is just a question in case somebody has the answer.
The fact that Galatasaray are now stipulating he is not for sale, could it be because West Ham are offering a fee well below his value? Does this mean - Yilmaz is just not available to West Ham with the price offered? Go figure.

COYI, the drop in value is probably because his peak years are over or almost coming to an end. Usually at their best from 27-31. He scored around 20 goals in 13/14 and was only a year into his contract at the time. Now Gala have the option to keep him until 2019 into his fading years or offload him now and free up some cash to spend. Although he is getting on he's definitely worth a punt and I'd take him over Maiga anyday but only a two year contract IMHO. I'd take Stevie Wonder over Randolph too!

Just in case there is anybody out there that thinks we don't need to be improved, this was our bench against Leicester
1 Randolph
4 Nolan
5 Tomkins
7 Jarvis
14 Obiang
20 Maiga
28 Lanzini

19 Aug 2015 13:22:49
The only players I would have liked to have seen on that bench are Tomkins, Jarvis, Obiang and Lanzini.
The sooner we get shot of Maiga, Nolan and Randolph the better. A drain on resources and clearly not good enough for the league. Nolan's condition of play me or sell me should have been the boards opportunity to offload him. I'm not sure how much truth there is in the rumour, but I believe SB has stated he will sit down with Nolan and thrash out an agreement of sorts. My opinion would be that SB should sit down with his phone and phone some championship clubs and try and offload him.

Galatasaray in talks with Chelsea over Loic Remy. Does this mean we are near a deal for Yilmaz and Sporting Gijon have agreed a deal for Alen Halilovic. We have also turned our attentions to Lindegaard who I believe we should have brought in instead of Rudolph

19 Aug 2015 08:10:35
Well, what a mess our goalkeeping situation is in. Never mind needing a striker, we desperatley need a goalkeeper before the next 3 games because Randolph (an inspired signing by some Muppet) isn't able to cut it in the premier league.

Best we pull our fingers out and stop messing about. I also hear that YILMAZ is NOT FOR SALE

19 Aug 2015 01:02:39
Palermo are flying to London tomorrow to talk to joel Campbell, surely we should have a look at this. Arsenal want 5/6 Mil for him, he will cover Winger/striker that we need, I believe this is a bargain and should not let this slip away.
