Billy Bonds - Well deserved award. West ham legend.

Here's a thought, if the FFP isn't coming in for a year or so, that means we're currently operating with self imposed FFP regs. Fully support the fact we are getting our house in order, but, if this is the case, we can still buy and it gives us more time to move players on. Realistically, we can look to move on Henderson or Spiegel, McCartney, Tomkins (as long as we get a replacement), Diarra or Noble, Taylor and Vaz Te. For all of you banging on about getting a new striker, it's a matter of balancing the squad, so if it means selling Nobes & Tonks (as much as I don't want to) to raise the fee & wages, so be it, as long as the squad is strengthened. We can't have it all ways. Tony Carr has, and is, doing a brilliant job bringing youngsters through, but it's a case of "When needs must". At the moment, it's more important to secure the first team in the Prem, and we can focus on the youth later. Every club is only as good as the 1st team. Realise a lot of people won't like this, but it's just my view. COYI.

This nonsense about wage limit is just because the club do not want to spend any more

of course we could lose taylor, mccartney, henderson, and vaz te
which would allow us to buy the striker we need

do not talk nonsense about selling tomkins we need 3 good centre backs
and collins is getting on tonks and reid are the future

ironworks better

Good post doc some fans don't always see the big picture,
one of the reason for the self imposed ffp rules is for us to move to the os the debt against the club must be paid off.
over the next 2/3 seasons our main aim has to be to finish in the top half of the table and some good cup runs

Understand that the Hammers want to bring in another striker but the club must sell first, to comply with wages ruling. There are a couple of players available to move on but BFS and the Board are conscious they may need to sell someone like Noble, to guarantee a sale. The problem with getting rid of surplus players from the Premiership is that no one wants cast offs and finding another club that can meet wages.
BFS knows that wheeling and dealing sometimes means sacrificing one of your best players.

If we got the right price for noble (7/9 million ) I would drive him to wherever myself. I know he is W/Ham through &through but I just don't think he good enough to warrent a starting place. (diame Cole Morrison ) would all get my choice to play in front of him, and we know bfs won't drop Nolan. Taylor Vas Te Noble if all sold should bring in 10/12 million with this we should get Cardoza solly go back in for Zupata & if there was money left over another striker or 2 in on loan. finally don't sell Tomkins, we would end up regretting this big time!

You don't sell your best players unless your going to bring in a better player then the one that's left an I can't see that happening

You mean to tell me over 3 months we haven't been able to move on RVT, Maiga, Taylor, Collison etc. To reduce the wage bill? We've now got less than 2 weeks to move players on so we can get in a striker so we no doubt have to sell Tomkins or Noble to guarentee a sale. Sounds a bit like a last minute rush to me and this hasn't been thought out properly. Surely we should have estimated how many players we needed in by May and as well as looking for players to come in we should have realised we would need to ship out some players also for wage bill purposes. Seems like an after thought to me. If we managed this better months ago we would of had cash and wages for strikers/ defender. Now we're more desperate we would have to sell players on the cheap and get players in at a premium! Sloppy!

We don't need Diarra, bet he is on a few bob would rather get rid of him than nobes! because we won't buy anyone else it will be loans meaning we don't need cash just need to get rid of a high earner to free up wages!

Taylor and rvt just wouldn't generate enough funds sales price 2/3 million wages 40/45k a week for the pair of them.
i believe we need one established and and one upcoming striker someone like noble will have to go to fund it

Apparently, Russian paper Inveztia has stated we have put in a bid for Christopher Samba! Probably about as reliable as the British press rumours, but we'll see. His family still live in the UK & Anzhi are in the sh** financially. Gold has said we need to sell before we recruit, and prime target is a striker. Be happy with Samba & Cardoza personally. Well, I can dream can't I? COYI.
