I know benteke isn't a lot of people's first team choice, but if we end up getting him he will score more goals than Carroll and Sakho so that is a step forward, and it may be a loan deal to start with with a option for permanent deal, wouldn't that leave us more money to strengthen else where like tore etc. But hopefully we can get lacazette deal done asap.

Not sure about Benteke, think he always looks lazy when I have seen him play.
Need a striker that puts in a shift and scores loads in my opinion.
Personally would rather have Carroll for his work and team rate.

Who is vicent Rodriguez he has stated that he is involved in the lacazette deal and that the bid has been accepted just got to sort out the payment structure and fine details but pretty much done. Who is this guy? Is he talking rubbish?

Lyon want 37.5m for lacazette, we've bidded 31m, for a world class striker the extra 6.5m isn't too bad considering the other strikers were looking at Wilson, bony, benteke etc. Go get lacazette and do the deal asap.

Can't see why we are interested in Wilson after his injury problems and Richie, makes no sense and I hope it's BULL. We can get better players with lower value. Step backwards if you ask me.

Watch Europa Final tongiht and keep an eye on Sevilla forward Llorente and Gameira. One or both to WH would be my targets.

Not sure how much truth there is in the rumour that PSG are looking at £40m for Lacazette!
More and more rumour about Payet and of course considering Zidane is the coach its very believable as Rodriguez has fallen out of favour

HI fellas, and GERRY P, I told you four weeks ago that WH were talking to Jordan Ayew, Gerry you shot me down saying it was rubbish, well there you, told you so, you went on to say J Ayew was poor, I Agreed with you, I just posted what I heard, and that was a month past, There are so many targets out there I'm sure we will do the business NECCESSARY, WH did make noise regarding maxim of Torino but were put off by a very fancy price tag, this may yet be revisited IRONMIKE.

rowe11, that's an absolutely great shout. He has looked very useful in a City team that were underperforming. Has he been identified as a potential?
At 26 Andre Ayew is still half decent value at £15m!

Here we go again, fun filled transfers rumours, speculation, banter, although the season has been brilliant I couldn't wait for all this turmoil to start.
If the reports are correct we seem to have gone in quite early with the two Bournemouth players bids being declined, as well as Lacazette bid being knocked back. Looking at the way we worked last season I suspect we have many Irons in the fire ( excuse the pun) and a list of suitable transfers I would imagine would be lined up. Any comments how many players going out, and who are the main transfer targets for the coming season?

Yep, another fun filled summer transfer window. It seems that Song, Eminike, Obrien, Valencia, Randolph, Moses and Lee are favourites. Rumour mill has it that we are talking with Juventus who are willing to let Pereya leave for £12m. Inter Milan wants to cash in on ICARDI. Lacazette bid refused but strangely Lyon are looking at Ben Yedder as his replacement? Manchester United linked with a £62m bid for James Rodriguez and nasty rumour circling that Real Madrid eyeing Payet as his replacement. I could go on and on. I'd like to see us bid for Pione Sisto and of course we need RB's.

If Madrid did come in for Payet, how much do you think the board would be willing to let him go for? . In my mind I have no doubt if a bid in the region of £40m plus would tempt them considering his age and profit for 1 season, and would fund 1 maybe 2 top top players!
Do we know if the lad we sent out on loan to Peterborough will be sent out again or may be integrated into the squad. I must admit I have only seen him a couple of times but in my humble opinion he does look very comfortable on the ball and has a touch of class about him.

I think Samuelson is coming back from his loan period at Peterborough and certainly one that SB could bring through gradually. As for Payet, As much as I really want him to stay, if a club like Real Madrid come calling with a big bid not many clubs can refuse them (just look at Bale, Ronaldo to name a few) . IF this were to happen different values are being banded about (anywhere from £35m to £50m and of course if he has a good Euro 2016 his price will soar further)! At present Manchester United are reportedly very interested in James Rodriguez who Real Madrid value at £62m who is out of favour at MADRID! I can only imagine that Real Madrid see Payet as a POTENTIAL replacement. All hyperthetical at this stage, but if SB and G&S arn't making future plans with or without him I'd be surprised. Could they ask for players and cash? Who knows?
