Anyone going to the premier of Bobby film on Monday at Wembley.

Hi Paul, it's well known that billy bonds was my own all time WH hero, BUT, most of the posters on this site and others, never saw, Bobby Moore actually play, as I did so many times, To this day, I personally, have never seen anyone better than him at the timing of tackles, and getting into position to receive the ball, he had a quality that was rare in football, because he was slow, even by sixties standards, The onlyl players I would bring forward from those times, to compete with the skill and overall fitness and athletisism of today, would be billy bonds for spirit and courage Devonshire. For guile on the wing and Bobby Moore, because no matter how fast the forward facing him, he'd still get the ball off them and that's the truth, I'm definitely seeing the film next week. But unfortunately it won't be to the premier, IRONMIKE.

Hi Mike being only 33 I never had the privilege to watch the great man play, but from what I have watched on Bobby and read about him he was the greatest defender to ever grace the football field and was impassable not only that he was a great man looking forward to seeing the film.

Bobby was a master at reading situations. Graceful and probably one of the greatest CB's that ever wore an England shirt.

Its a shame Booby Moore was treated in such a shambolic way by England and also Westham at the time after his career was over.

I always remember seeing a clip, of him sitting at the back of Southend FC eating chips commentating on the radio with I think Jonathan Piece on a Tuesday night

Being the captain of England winning the world cup and the way he conducted himself off the pitch he should have been given an ambassador role by the than FA, and even if not by those bunch of dinosaurs by at least Westham.

It seems again someone only gets reconsigned and talked about after his death. True class both on and off the pitch.

never saw Bobby play, I grew like mike with billy bonds as my hero, have seen plenty of footage of him though, highest praise I can give is I've never heard anyone saw a bad word about him as a player and as a man, even man u fans say he was the only player that could keep George best quiet high praise indeed.

Wouldn't mind taking a chance on knockaert Brighton winger look decent Antonio proved can come from championship and do on premiership.

17 May 2016 18:46:24
Agreed he has a good left foot and makes Brighton tick and.

As we all know, our superstar Dimitri Payet has gone from being a relative unknown 29 year old, to potentially a world superstar in one season (and he can only get better) . This hasn't gone un-noticed and if James Rodriguez leaves Real Madrid (which it seems he is very likely to) it would appear that Real Madrid are very willing to meet a valuation of £50m for Payet! Do we cash in on the potential profit of £40m and if so, what replacements (I know he can't be replaced) are out there because let's face it, if we bury our heads and think this will go away we are very mistaken.

17 May 2016 15:52:09
sorry phil I just can't see a club like Madrid pay 50 million for a 29 year old maybe a club like man city that have so much excess cash it isn't funny and can't attract the players rca and real can, if they do we should ask for modric in exchange lol.

17 May 2016 15:56:27
He can absolutely be replaced for £40m Phil.
I would rather have 2 £20m gems than Payet if that was the case. £40m can solve a lot of problems, can fix our leaky defence, get a quality backup striker, and maybe even a keeper. We'd be mad to turn that down.

17 May 2016 16:25:25
Interesting thoughts. let's see what he is valued at after the Euro's and If Madrid come calling.

17 May 2016 10:20:08
David Gold has said that 7 or 8 players will be leaving this summer? 7-8 players leaving is quite a lot I would think. Our biggest asset this season has been team chemistry and togetherness, so I hope we don't lose that.
Who could be going? I reckon definites to go are Song, Emenike, Valencia, Moses and Lee. ANy thoughts who the other 3 would be.

Quite clearly we need a RB and a winger and couple of strikers. If you had a choice who would be your 4 players for these positions, bearing in mind our Budget (so forget Ronaldo and Messi)

17 May 2016 10:32:07
I think sakho could go aswell phil he's been acting up this yer, obiang wants more game time as do Randolph and Oxford I've never been an advocate of keeping players that want to leave but I also as mntioned in a previous post thought we were only 3 or 4 players away from having a really good squad would rather go slow and add quality over quantity now.

17 May 2016 10:40:39
I'd go for debauchy as RB from arsenal, Sisto as the winger, then lacazette as striker with zaza as 2 nd option.

17 May 2016 10:55:37
Great shout on Sisto and Lacazette. I'd be tempted by Rafael with his premier league experience and he gets goals. CB, I would like us to have a serious look at N'Koulou.

17 May 2016 11:38:04
how about a cheeky ask for shawcross as CB? bit more of a James Collins type but I think we need someone in there to organise the defence think he'd do a good job and is very solid defensively I'm sure stoke wouldn't want him to go but don't ask don't get lol.

17 May 2016 13:24:19
Shawcross would be a great addition and perhaps what we need is a no nonsense defender like him. Look how Leicester changed with the addition of HUTH! A good solid no messing about player who frightens strikers and that's what we need. We got Collins.
