Interested in Rodriguez for £67 million, all well spend is £6.7 million, why do we enquire about players who we have no intension of going for and end up making ourselves look stupid, because there is no way a player like that would ever entertain joining us champions league or not, wake up and smell the coffee, if Real Madrid said yes and the player really said yes we would pull out saying any excuses, just stick to our level.

wouldn't want defoe back after the way he left, he's had his chance at west ham no doubt es decent but after putting in a transfer request the day after we got reeled then leaving for rugby our biggest rivals as soon as he could can't see how the a way back for him to us.

You can't blame Defoe in wanting to join spurs when west ham got relegated, it's a massive step in class to join spurs from west ham as they have always been a much bigger club it's the same for us when our top players jump ship to man Utd they are going to a much bigger club.

Yeah raver, it's the WAY he left, handing in a transfer the day after we were relegated. he could have at least pretended he wanted to stay.

Fair point barnie but that's todays footballers for you, spoilt overpaid men who are not loyal to anything. I miss the old days when class players were happy to just be at for your club like bobby Moore for example.

Just heard Carroll is not traveling to Austria as he is injured, NORMAL SERVICE RESUMED THEN and there was me hoping this would be his season. We need to get a couple of strikers in ASAP.

Precisely why we need a high quality Striker or 2 as you can't rely on Carroll . he is pretty fragile. some people saying he could be a 20 goal a season striker! . I can't agree with that at all! . so if Sahko and Valencia go that's 3 we should be after or maybe Bilic feels Fletcher and Martinez can step up but that's a big gamble!

It's a massive gamble to rely on these 2 youngsters. But looks like we will start the Europa league tie with at least one of them.
