People having been giving our defence a bit of stick lately, I don't think defence is to blame, the midfield are not giving enough cover. We need a top center mid in the summer.

dunno about that Reid looks half a yard slower than he was last year and we are defiantly missing ginge as he is a bit more vocal and can organise the defence better, not really sure who we could get who's better than Kouyate to be honest.

I think we are learning a few lessons this season which will stand us in good stead for the future. The last few games we've looked tired and half a yard of the pace and we're paying now for a very long season and 3 games in a week, all started with that Arsenal 3-3 game.
Points to note: Quite clearly Antonio is not a RB and since he was slotted in their for cover we've conceded goals.
The midfield looks slow and jaded. Kouyate was very clumsy yesterday and very pedestrian. No urgency and no pace.
Our strike force is woeful without (Dare I say it) Andy Carroll who at least has some passion. Eminike is shocking, Valencia is garbage and Sakho keeps spitting his dummy out.
Imagine if we had any two of Defoe, Remy or Sturridge. Each of them is easily capable with the players we have of hitting 20+ goals a season.
Look at Liverpool when they had Sturridge and Suarez. Lots of pace, creativity and they were scoring goals for fun. We've got to stop looking at these second rate strikers in COlumbia and Honduras and start looking closer to home.
Go get a striker who's been doing it in the premier league and knows what its all about. If we bring strikers in from foreign leagues it takes 2 seasons to get used to the pace, when there are srtikers (OK it may be more expensive) for sale in the premier league at the right price. We're talking about paying £20-30m for Lacazette or Bathsuyi when we've got Berahino, Remy, Defoe, Ighalo, etc etc who have all scored LOTS of goals in the premier league.

personally I'd go for bony if we are looking at premier league strikers within our price range maybe wages would be a problem though, don't think sturridge will come or be avaliable remy not sure about wages either
I wouldn't touch berahino in a million years after they way he's performed over a move to spurs he will do the same again to the next club he's a tool, and something we can do without.

Must admit Berahino is not a favourite of mine but he does score goals. Terrible attitude and a huge chip on his shoulder. Remy is earning £85k a week at CHelski. Bony would be a great shout if we can get him playing regular football. He's got a good footballing brain and brings the midfield into play as he did with Sigurdsson. Him and AC would do ok together also, big and powerful.

id have agree with redrobbo i'd like bony should he surplus to requirements at city they would most likely subsidise his wages he is a 27yr proven premier league goalscorer he just needs games.
city paid 28 mill for him if we could get him for 15/ 16 mill i'm not keen berahino he is a trouble maker.
{Ed002's Note - Manchester City will sell Bony to make space for their preferred replacement striker. There has been a general discussion with Spurs and his agent has permission to talk with other interested parties he can find. This may include West Ham. His price may put off a number of sides. Spurs have another target in mind and will likely not follow up.}

I think Everton would be interested aswell as a replacement if lukaku does one which it looks like he's angling for.

He'd be a good player for Everton and US. I just hope that we set our sights and go get the striker we think we need and we don't mess about to much allowing other teams the chance to gazump us.
