Whats going on with the Andy Carroll transfer please
Completely agree. for us to spend that money on one player, any player let alone carroll is such a risk. spread the money over 2 or even three strikers. hooper, rhodes and crouch, for example. anyone can change the strikers to their taste but the point stays the same. I bet everyoen can name three players that we could get for the money that would make us better than the team we have with carroll.

So. discussion for all of us. I keep reading from some West Ham fans that we are a top 10 team when in reality we are not. and that paying 15 mil on a player that gets injured regularly and hasn't really proved himself is justified. I think the first thing West Ham need to do is firstly admit that yes, it was a very good first season back in the prem. but we all know that the second season is always harder. Secondly, I think that spending 15 mil and 100k a week on ONE player is a bit crazy. Wouldn't it make sense to spread that 15 mil out a bit more, and try to stablise the club before splashing the cash like we're City or Chelsea? Maybe I'm thinking to carefully but if I'm going to spend that much money on a player. I'd like to already have a strong foundation of a club that can truely say that a top ten finish is gaurenteed. What are your views on us spending this much money?
