Lets hope Andy Carroll is back quicker than we thought. I have spoken to a few Fulham fans who tell me that Petric was good at the Cottage but not given a chance to prove himself. Ed - fancy a goal from him on Sunday?

5 goals in 20 odd games is not good enough if he was that good then they would of kept him

But it's a better statistic than Maiga. Zero goals in 3 games.

That's an unfair statistic an its still not good enough. Will you be happy if he scores 5 in 20 plus for us NO

Actually I would be pleased, providing our midfield score the other 15 out of 20.

20 goals in one season would not be enough you have to have at least 3 players getting 5 or more with at least one more gettign double figures!

Team i'd like for Sunday, not that bad really except the Striker.

Jussi

Demel reid collins rat

Diame Noble Nolan

Morrison Vaz Te Jarvis

Subs Adrian, O'brien, Tomkins, Collison, Taylor, petric, Maiga

Start Petric, use Morrison as the sub to swing it with 30 mins to play if it's not working

Andy Carroll has damages his plantar fascia which is the ligament that runs under the bottom of your foot which attaches heel to your toes to enable them to move. As he doesn't need an operation I highly doubt that it is torn therefore good news for us hammers as the recovery time will be shorter I expect. 6-8 weeks

tv official Twitter account tweeted this morning 6am.

"Andy Carroll's achilles injury is NOT as serious as first feared, we'll hear from Sam Allardyce on this devastating blow for West Ham"

This is a good sign against the media ruling AC out for the majority of the season

Let's get behind the lads for this weekend's game!
What I do like about our team this year is the core of our players are British. Nolan, Noble, Carroll, Jarvis, J Cole, Downing, Morrison, Collins, etc. With all the latest calls for more British talent in the Premier League I feel we're in a good position.

I agree with the posts about Gold & Sullivan having to control costs. A) West Ham United still have a massive debt to clear, B) if we do not adhere to the FFP regulations we get our arse's smacked again.

One final point! Why buy a European player, hoping they can adapt to British football, when we have an excellent pool of young talent in the academy team to bring through? Cheaper option than paying ludicrous agent fees and excessive wages.
J Cole, F Lampard, R Ferdinand, M Carrick, G Johnson, etc all came through our ranks, let's bring through the next crop!
