Anzhi Makhachkala have made moves for Wilfried Bony, and one of his agents Francis Kacou has confirmed talks with the Russian giants, a German club (Leverkusen) and a Portugese side (Benfica)

Kacou told Algemeen Dagblad: "We have had more than one conversation with Anzhi. We now know what Anzhi would approximately want to pay about wages, bonuses and commissions we will talk again soon. Meanwhile Liverpool have made an enquiry and Newcastle are also believed to be targetting Bony. West ham meanwhile are still hopeful of concluding a deal for Andy Carroll if he will reduce his wage demands

All the strikers available currently and BIG STUPID FAT SAM won't entertain them because they don't suit his style of play (HOOF), simples. Hence why he never played MAIGA from the start, Paulista EVER and Chamakh only had a bit part. It makes no sense whatsoever to pay £15m and £100,000 a week for a striker that can't get more than 15 goals a season when West ham could bid £12m and at £75k a week get BONY (who really knows where the goal is). Something is not right with this Carroll deal if the figures are to be believed

Agree with this post also. Bony is the better deal and stated today he wants to come to Premier League but West Ham want CARROLL! Its not right and all sounds fishy. Is it BFS pride cause its our club and will be when he is long gone

Come on matey did you honestly give us a 10th finish last season, no nor did I but sam did it and that's where we finished. the time to question sam is when its not happening. do you really think sam will sell us down the river. he did a good job and until he [if he] fails we need to give him the support he deserves.

Yes you are both rightespecially when you consider carolls injury record of 3times in 6months!

Why are we constantly worried about "if" let's stop jumping to conclusions and wait for the actual outcome. If Andy wants to play for us and the owners want to pay his demands then that's it and as I said before let's wait and see how he performs for us if he comes. If you watched him last season look at the number of defenders who are spending almost all their game wondering where he is.

I take it that all of the stuff you read in the papers has come true I know every thing I read hasn't and that's why I do not believe that Carroll is demanding £100. 000 a week he knows himself he is not worth that much and with a World Cup coming up I'm sure he'd rather be a west ham regular than a Liverpool reserve.
If we do sign him and he can stay 100% fit and injury free I reckon he will shut most of you west ham fans up.

As a life long West ham fan I find this entire Andy Carroll situation embarrassing and Sam Allardyce even more so stating recently in the press Carroll is our No 1 priority. What a JOKE! If Newcastle don;t want Carroll at £15m but want Bony at £12m doesn;t that say something FAT SAM should be listening to. £100,000k a week for Carroll! Your having a laugh. And also what about diving into the Free Agent/Bosman market for players

Agree one hundred percent

Right on the money. £100,000 for a team like ours is getting us back into the same mess we were in when Magnusson was in charge. West ham board won;t listen and they'll get us back ni the same mess. Carroll should be happy with £60k a week. At least he would be playing

I think it has to be said that West Ham need to cement themselevs as a solid premier league team first. I keep hearing people saying "we are a top 10 team" but the truth in the matter is that we are not. Yes we had a solid season, and yes there is no reason why we can't do it again but this season will be even harder. Spending 10's of millions of pounds on players with massive wages I don't think is what we should be doing. Is AC really worth the £15mil price tag along with the £100,000 weekly wage? I'm not too sure when there are other players that would cost considerably less with a much lower wage. We are West Ham, not Chelsea or City and I personally don't think that we are a big enough "premier league" club to be splashing out all this money when we aren't even a solid club. In a couple of seasons, when we can truely say that we get top 10 every season and solid positions year in year out, challenge for Europe and move into the new stadium then maybe we can justify the huge sums of money being chucked around. But until that time I think we need to be serious and careful with how much we spend. There are lots of other players that will score goals and not be greedy and demand £100,000 a week. This is my personal opinion. what do you guys think?

Wow, I could agree more. Its all down to Stupid Sam Allardyce focussing on Carroll who at best is an average striker and not going to get us 20 plus goals a season

If Carroll didn't get injured and scored 20+ goals a season then I would be quite happy for us to spend all that. but in reality. he will barely get past 10 goals I think. I just hope we don't do a QPR. spend loads of money on average players. and then get lumbered with them when no one else wants then

Average manager trying to buy an average player

Personally I'd like us to go for Bony, Bent, Rhodes, Hooper or even look in the Spanish league for another Michu.2 mil Michu cost and I'd bet a lot of money that there are lots of players who could score more than Carroll and cost a fraction of the price
