Fair play to the lads today much needed win and hopefully it's a sign of things to come nice to have a positive result forgot how good it feels when we win. Chris COYI

At last I can enjoy a Saturday night again. Great win, showed spirit that's been missing for a while. Noble & Johnson did well IMO, and AC is back. Only black spots, two more defenders going to miss games - hope Reid & Ginge are back soon. COYI's

Hello fellow Irons,

Now I'm no clairvoyant nor am I suggesting that we will sign these players but I was looking at odds yesterday on transfers and what I found interesting were these three.

Jolean Lescot - odds 1/1
Nicolas Anelka - odds 3/1
Emmanual Adebayor - 3/1
Gorgio Samaras - 3/1.

Now of course, I'm not saying we are signing these players but why would the odds for Lescott be even odds? The three strikers may be a load of cobblers at 3/1 as I can't see Sherwood selling Adebayor after the impact he has made at Spurs.
However, Lescott would be a brilliant acquisition.
Finally, let's not all turn against Sam Allardyce at this time. What difference would it have made if another manager had taken the team out against Man City? My opinion - none! Sam picked his best team from the options he had and unfortunately the team on the day lacked guts, determination and spine. They need to consider that players like Bobby Moore, Billy Bonds, Julian Dicks, Alvin Martin and Di Canio became legends not because of their ability but because of their passion and love for the club and most of all because they showed some character. Unfortunately the team that stepped out onto the pitch against Man City showed NONE of these traits.

Just my opinion fellow Irons.

Have not done post for a few weeks as things looking grim as I advised in earlier posts West Ham United had agreed 3.8m fee for jelavic on dec 5th after 4 weeks of negotiations he was to sign and play versus Fulham 2nd jan the davids then withdrew to loan etc you know the rest now looks likely that hull are to get jelavic. can you wonder why heitinga and, lescott won't come dithering sitting on their hands does nothing sam is even beginning to look and sound like avram grant we have been chasing 14 players I can name 9 of which have not been mentioned in press whatever is done looks too little too late although I think we could stay up with 38 points cannot see it. looks like dgs got stark choices to make choices they should have made 5 or 6 games ago either back sam with dough now or out him DO SOMETHING WHATEVER IT MAY BE lack of action is worst of all IRONMIKE
