This is my first post, and I haven't always followed west ham, but I have seen a lot of rumours linking you to strikers. Surely you should be looking at a striker like callum Wilson? I've heard that Newcastle are interested, but surely west ham must be more appealing? And I have to say that goal from Andy Carroll against palace was world class!

Great performance today let's hope Carroll can play like that every week be unstoppable. we are in talks with Ajax about Joel Vietnam fee of 8 mill good young versatile player can play centre bk and right back, we are also thinking of going for Andre gray of burnley for 15 mill. we should give dwight gayle a chance can't stop scoring at moment

While I think we played well yesterday and we ended up winning by a comfortable score line, I think the first half was a little lacking. the Palace keeper didn't actually make a single save all game. We may have had some shots on target that were blocked by defenders but still.

I think if we let Payet go we still need a creative player to come in. I personally would go for Sigurdsson from Swansea. I think he'd be a great addition to our squad.

Follow him up with a versatile defender that can play at both centre back and right back, and one or two strikers and I really think we'll have enough to push on from January.

Joel Veltman wouldn't be a bad choice for the defensive reinforcements we need, although he is untested outside of Holland. Another option could be Jamal Lascalles from Newcastle.

And the strikers. I'd be delighted to sign Andre Gray on a permanent deal and Michy Batshuayi on loan. I would rather not go for Scott Hogan, whilst he has received good reviews and people speak highly of him in the lower leagues, I think his injury history should be a massive concern. To ignore the fact he hasn't completed a full season without injury would be a huge mistake.

Hi all, seeing a few outlets saying that Florian Thauvin from Marseille has been offered to West Ham. Price being touted is around £35-40 million. Surely at that price this is a no brained? He's a quality player whose proven himself year after year and is always linked to the elite clubs. Would everyone want him? And do you think we'd be able to get him in?
