Guys seems to be an awful lot of panicking in some quarters on here. We still have 10 weeks left of the transfer window and nobody is really making substantial moves yet in the market. Remember last year when Palace bought everybody we were linked with . where did they finish?! It will be all good . keep the faith.

In all honesty and all messing about apart there are some quality players out there and am fairly confident the board will have a few aces up there sleeves. Rumours are just rumours and we still have plenty of time to bring in some new faces. It's nice to see we have offloaded some players slaven doesn't feel are what we need at this time but I've faith we will be more than ready coyi.

Serious question Phil and all of you, why do we seem to struggle to attract players these days? Is everyone only wanting CL? If that's the case then how will we become a regular top 8 side?

I think we sometimes try to set our goals to high and we seem to want these top players at OUR price. There is the added factor that these top players want success and to play European football. You don't see pulis targeting these players. I believe he is currently chasing Jay Rodriguez so may be that's the sort of recruitment ploy we should adopt. Only an opinion.

Without being presumptious we should be safe now from relegation. With that in mind has anybody given consideration to who may become available from potentially relegated teams? Triore Middlesbrough, Kone Sunderland, , Schmeical .

Yes I wasn't being rude, we shall have to wait and see. Obviously relegated clubs in most cases want to unload their biggest earners for starters, BUT unless the club in question is under money pressure bargains are hard to come by regards IRONMIKE.

I don't think mancini is the right manager for us, we've won 3 of our last 4 not sure why this is even being talked about to be honest, payet has gone and now we look like a team again, bilic got us to out highest finish in ages last year into Europe, we are mid table this year after our star player threw his toys out of pram yet apparantly that isn't good enough, owners should come out and back bilic and forget these silly rumours.

I've mentioned Nathan Ake a couple of times on here. He's a player that can be utilised pretty much anywhere in defence and midfield. I'd be delighted if we got him.

I agree Mike that the loan option seems to be the most sensible, try before you buy. SB and DGS have seen something in him that they really like and want to commit to. Maybe the feeling is that loanees sometimes don't perform to potential due to not being 100% committed to the club.
look how many we have sent back early over the past few seasons Zaza, Jenkinson, Toure (would have gone home if not injured) . My gut feeling is that he's young, pacy and had enough about him to attract Chelsea last season. Buy him now and save £8m .

For me if were looking for a fresh approach and a manager that can bring youth and vigour to the club as well as invest in it I'd go every day for Eddie Howe. Pulis would take us backwards . Also look at what Howe could bring with him and/ or persuade to join us Callum Wilson, Harry Arter, Wilshere, Nathan Ake . I know the last 2 aren't Bournemouth players and would cost serious money but they are both young, quality, permiership experienced and likely to be available/ interested. We need players who are happy to play for us and live in London unlike Payet and Snodgrass.

Too many goals shipped, too many defensive mistakes from winning positions. Transfer focus should be on a quality keeper and stronger, more composed defence. To be honest it must be difficult to remain composed when you've had a couple of clowns in Orange behind you though! For me I'd heavily invest in Joe Hart, Nathan Ake and Kone, get Kompany and Zabelletta on the cheap and if wages allow bring in Jermaine Defoe. Add to this the likes of Oxford, Burke, Samuelson etc and let the following go. Adrian, Arbeloa, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Snodgrass, Valencia, Calleri, Noble and Tore.

Hi Phil, if we get Mancini I wouldn't be surprised to see him raiding his old hunting ground at Man City, Hart, Kolarov, Zabaletta possibly even Kompany if his legs held out . Would this be a bad thing?

Hi Guys, have been reading all your posts for a year or so now and love the banter and oppinion differences! Phils love of Ben Yedder and Braithwaite has been priceless .
We have lots of problems but for me I'd be looking at the following in the Summer
Hart or Craig Gordon
Smalling or Kone
Daley Blind
Siggurdson
Defoe
