What's the chances of Tripp Smith buying out Golds 35% in WHU and investing some serious dollar this summer?

Illbeback

1.) 03 Mar 2019 10:42:17
I can’t see the David’s giving up their monopoly, though any cash injection would be welcome.

2.) 03 Mar 2019 19:16:43
Markro, Gold is not getting any younger, and with a good finish in the league he could sell up while stock is high. I doubt he would sell all 35% but maybe 25% to give tripp 35%. Maybe after Brexit we might see some moves, obviously depending on the economics of UK.

3.) 03 Mar 2019 20:57:39
I’d love to see it, if it means serious investment.

4.) 03 Mar 2019 21:16:43
They won't sell until they own the stadium. End of. That's the long game here.

5.) 03 Mar 2019 22:16:47
Own the stadium? Didn’t think that was possible?

6.) 05 Mar 2019 09:55:12
What is legally possible today is not the same as what is legally possible tomorrow,

12th 46 points. Hopefully in the Summer MP buys players that for his style of player in 1st team and fringe.

Wimbledon gave us exactly what we deserved; a good thumping. MP style wrong for this game and pitch. Fringe players were all at sea. With Adrian very game time rusty. Should have setup to take an early lead with a strong squad. Hindsight, don't you just love it.

Thanks ironmike good to have you back😄.

2.) 27 Jan 2019 09:01:42
We had a strong squad potentially to beat a team 2 leagues lower, but still had many players not interested and Arnie who chickened out of playing! On the other hand playing a team that are known for taking scalps despite their lowly position, MP should know this, put out your strongest squad, then sub whoever when the game may look comfortable, what kind of manager shouldn’t know that! Show f———- respect to the opposition, as soon as I saw the Chuckle brothers up front, I thought who the f—- is going to score goals, wha t does MP see to even include this pair of so called strikers, lucky to strike a f——- matchstick, we have been humiliated and deserved to be! At least we were first game on MOTD, so all the footballing world could see what a bunch of useless overpaid players we have, with some obvious exceptions! A defender in the box with his hands behind his back even after the ball had been crossed for one of their goals, at least look as if you care, another outpaced entirely looking like he was out for an afternoon jog, completely outpaced by Wagstaff, for another goal, total rubbish and disgusted by MP’s tactics for this game allowing certain amateur type players with a couldn’t give a f—- attitude to represent our club and not for the first time, wtf is this man seeing in these players! What stick we will be given at Wolves on Tuesday!,

3.) 27 Jan 2019 09:23:44
I think phase one of MP's transformation is complete, and those players who have found themselves on the outskirts played last night with NO interest whatsoever. Masuaku was given the chance by MP early season but Cress has taken over the LB position, he was terrible last night, words cannot describe how poor he was. Iv made my thoughts on Chica clear on here but he was terrible and anonymous all game. I think he clearly wants the Valencia move knowing he will be Arnie's backup and then backup to whoever we buy. Carroll, well he was Carroll, will be interesting to see if he plays again for us after the shop window closes. I for one would rather we give Xande the chances from here on out. Obiang just doesn't perform consistently enough, and is another who knows he is second string and wants to move away as a result. Adrian looked rusty, but again he is off come June and that could have been his last game for us. Interesting how our worst players last night are all those who will b leaving come summer.
On a plus side, I thought Fredricks was ok, and while Iv given Antonio poor comments in the past i thought he was very good once moved from RB to wing. Perez even gave it a go, but it wasnt hard for him to look better than Carroll.
Suppose we have the battle to be "best of the rest" to look forward to now in the league. COYI.

4.) 27 Jan 2019 10:58:51
Spot on, Nick.

Obiang just makes too many mistakes, or looks unsure of what to do when he gets the ball. Carroll? I have said before that the game has passed him by during his extended time out and, yet again this was eminently clear last night. Chicharito was treading water before he swims off into the Spanish sunset.

MP was right to use the word “embarrassed. ”

Anderson looked our best and most committed player by far.

The most concerning thing was that we could not cope with a high pressing, harrying, energetic third tier team.

5.) 29 Jan 2019 18:44:19
Has everybody forgotten the game! Masuaku was 3 times at fault. Watch the highlights. He was out of position or not marking the player tightly 3 times! Oniang was certainly complicit for the first goal but the last 3 I lay squarely at the feet of Masuaka. He’s a liability and a disgrace as a left back. Never in my life have a seen a left back as poor at West Ham. Either flog him or give him away. I do t mind but. get rid.

6.) 29 Jan 2019 18:45:12
Nickinho_10. I apologise. I just read your message. You feel the same as me about Masuaku. 👍👍😡😡😡.

25 Jan 2019 20:39:26
Now Arnie is Staying and with a few players to come off the table. I cannot see us with any new faces. Players we need to move on, will not benefit a new club halfway through a season, plus MP usually does business in the summer. I most probably will be WRONG but this is West Ham.

Think you are spot on mate. Might shift Perez or chicha now though.

2.) 26 Jan 2019 11:24:24
Illbeback with that name and the way you write certain words in Capitals like “WRONG” I have a sneeky suspicion you’re Ironmike . am I correct?

3.) 26 Jan 2019 12:25:23
I was thinking exactly the same.

4.) 26 Jan 2019 13:02:10
Be gone a while - his posts might be a little rusty.

5.) 26 Jan 2019 14:52:44
Dabber, you must be a secret “Poirot” or “ Sherlock” but I make bang on now, if so Mike not being so clever with the name, but I must say I never even thought of it, apart from thinking when I first saw it “not seen that pseudonym before! Good thinking with the CAPITALS although a few others do the same at times! ⚒⚒⚒ interesting later tonight😏😏.

6.) 26 Jan 2019 15:02:19
What's happened with Mike, has he stopped posting?

7.) 26 Jan 2019 15:15:31
Agree guys soon as I read it mind you wasn't it Arnie (Schwarzaneger) who said it great play on words if it is and if it is welcome back.

8.) 26 Jan 2019 17:43:36
No, no guys, I myself enjoyed Mikes posts. I don't have any internal connections sorry, well only Jospeh the box guy at the stadium. Hopefully a good convincing win tonight considering Wimbledon poor form of late. Diananga surely a cert to start and be bang on.

9.) 26 Jan 2019 19:12:43
Haha - would love Ironmike back ;-)

24 Jan 2019 15:34:27
Alex Pritchard. He would be a great coup for the hammers. Local lad knows the club from previous spell.
Very exciting player.

1.) 24 Jan 2019 19:06:22
We're already fully loaded in the attacking midfielder dept. 1 goal and 0 assists in 20 games is dire. even in a pathetic Huddersfield team.

Besides, how would he get in to a squad containing, Arnautovic, Anderson, Nasri, Antonio, Snodgrass, Xande Silva and when fit Lanzini, Yarmalenko and Nathan Holland? Easy. He doesn't.

2.) 24 Jan 2019 19:12:54
1 goal in 19 and more importantly on a 110k a week! No thanks.

goo.gl/LXDAJ3

3.) 24 Jan 2019 20:38:14
I think he has promise and would do a good job over a 4 year contract. The style of play we are currently deploying I reckon his goal return would be higher. He would play, we carry many injuries over a season I would prefer a squad with depth in CM, AM, DM positions as this is the core. Again my opinion.

4.) 25 Jan 2019 10:50:20
Could see him being the sort of player brought in for depth playing half a dozen games and then being sold after 2 years and a drain on salary. Respect your opinion but not for me.

5.) 25 Jan 2019 11:29:04
Interesting thought, but I’m really hoping we’re moving beyond the average Prem player and pushing for higher quality.

6.) 25 Jan 2019 17:17:39
Who's on £110,000 weekly glen?

7.) 25 Jan 2019 17:19:59
Hope you ain't referring to PRITCHARD being on them wages because if so you are about 80,000 out or more glen apologies if you don't mean him . COYI.

It's a rumour page. things will be WRONG Ed. Things will be right Ed. The clue is in the title of the site. So don't worry about us fans being mislead as nothing is for certain in life let alone football.

Illbeback

1.) 21 Jan 2019 08:45:08
Agree unreservedly. The more contributors we have, the better. Even if posts turn out to be wildly inaccurate, the speculation is interesting.

Messi, anyone?

2.) 21 Jan 2019 10:52:45
I heard Messi is a chance. well if Barcelona get relegated and we get in the top 4 and we have a spare few hundred million. But hey there is a chance :D.

3.) 21 Jan 2019 11:27:13
😏☝️ Yup.

4.) 21 Jan 2019 11:09:02
I agree the vast majority of us very much enjoyed iron mikes work. Would rather the eds stop writing and Mike comes back. Sign him up sign him up iron Mike sign him up sign him up i prey, we want to know who is going to be playing the West Ham way.

5.) 21 Jan 2019 12:13:08
This site is very much the poorer for the loss of Iron Mike. his superb knowledge of WHU inner workings was fantastic. I joined this site because of that accurate information. Come back Iron Mike we need you.

{Ed001's Note - I like Mike and his wife, they are lovely people, I have met them and can say they are genuinely nice people, but he needs to learn to accept when he is wrong. He will post something about Liverpool then argue he is right when it is clearly nonsense, like this window about some £60m+ bid he claimed had gone in. There was no bid made at all, of any kind, by Liverpool for any player, let alone the one he claimed. Bids are very rare and Liverpool were not even in talks over the player, let alone bidding for him. But Mike still argues the point without having any sources at Liverpool. That is why he frustrates the editors, because he will continue to argue even when he has no idea. He will just try and talk about things changing, when, in actual fact, there was absolutely no truth to his initial post, like he did in the recent argument with Ed002, who happened to be there in Geneva attending the meetings Mike was talking about.}

6.) 21 Jan 2019 14:13:44
I took would like to Mike back on here asap BUT the site needs balance and the Ed's are not only moderators but professionals in this world of football, without there input the site is a waste, trust them they know what they are talking about and are needed, but agreed it would be good to see Mike back.

7.) 21 Jan 2019 14:25:20
He accept he won't get everything right but he has broke a lot of big stories on here which I have been very grateful for such as moyes, wilshire and Anderson. Please get him back.

8.) 21 Jan 2019 18:48:47
I heard Iron Mike is making a ring comeback

Oops - Fake News 🤣😝😁

COYIs.
