Iron Mike, as always thanks for your posts, whether or not they come to fruition is irrelevant, you clearly have access to information that most of us don't so please take no notice of Nay Sayers.
Although I can understand Reece Burke attracting a lot of attention due to his abilities, I hope, as with Reece Oxford, that West Ham realise his ability and get him signed up to a long contract, it's the most exciting group of young players I've seen coming through for many a year and demonstrates the solid foundations that DSG have built in recent years - honoured to be a hammer COYI.

Thanks HH. Of course everybodies entitled to have a shout. And of course sometimes various papers make up afew stories as do agents, or family representatives, the tricky bit is to navigate between various claims and counter claims, WH are doing their absolute best to keep information like cards close to their chests, and ideas are fed through I'm sure to put, people way of track and believe me they are doing a good job!, BUT as you say it's agreat time to be a hammer! While I hope Oxford, Burke and others get their opportunity, I can't see how and when this will happen. There is no doubt they have potential but with fans demanding we bring in new talent every year (and rightly so) only those consistently beating a path at the door will get an opportunity and when they do, they must take it like Rice has.

Exactly this. fans want new expensive signings and they want kids getting a chance but unfortunately you can't have it both ways, after moving to this "stadium" and having our club totally changed i'm afraid chasing that means no kids coming through fact, that's why I was happy at upton park chugging along as we was we had identity.

Warrington Seymour what would be more ironic is if Everton sack Allerdyce, offer Moyes a 3 year contract and fat Sam ends up coming (and I'd prefer Glenn Roeder back than fat Sam that's how much I detest him) .
I truly feel for the Everton fans - fat Sam may give them survival but they'll get bugger all else.

BolelynBoy, can't agree that Shelley and Slimani could add anything we don't have already and if I'm being honest, Walcott wouldn't inspire me either, but it would be good to offload some of our less consistent players i. e. Carroll, Sakho, Snodgrass (even on a free) and Fonte.

It certainly was Mike, just hope we can push on and pick up a result against Arsenal - that would be a great boost. Much as I liked Slaven, it is now clear how poor his training and tactics were and Moyes has made a real difference.
Any new transfer news for January?
