Hi guys, & Ed's, hope you're all well, I've just watched Sunday supplement and I can't see how this season is going to finish fairly, there's been talk of neutral grounds but as Darren Lewis said, you can't start a season with one set of rules and finish it with another, what does everyone think, should we finish this season even if it's October/ November or should we null and void the season with no relegation or promotion, what's your thoughts chaps?

{Ed002's Note - There is no option on the table to "null and void" this season.}

Hi Stevie, see Ed says no option to null and void, well no surprise it’s the money that rules, don’t worry about consequences! It’s no option to me but null and void, rules can be changed or altered in any form of life, it’s just if it suits the hierarchy! As arp said in his post earlier, it makes me angry it’s even being discussed, let’s get out of this bloody living nightmare first! I realise we must have other distractions in life, but we should show some respect to grieving families, life goes on yes, but for some people it hasn’t with this invisible curse on humanity!

{Ed002's Note - So take away all of the prize money from this season, how will West Ham survive.}

I really can’t see games being played at neutral grounds, as some teams have already played more home games than others therefore having an unfair advantage, I can understand about prize money for this season that teams wouldn’t receive if the season is void, but couldn’t the clubs get this money back, e. g, if say they got more tv money by televising more games next season by showing 3pm kickoffs on the red button, maybe I’m clutching at straws, but I really don’t think neutral grounds behind closed doors is fair, it would be like playing three quarters of a season with VAR then getting rid of it which would be unfair, as far as I’m concerned you finish a competition how it started.

{Ed002's Note - You are indeed clutching at straws - and nobody has raised the issue it cannot be finished now it has started. And remember, many clubs live right on the edge Stevie and rely on the income arriving from prize money to pay the debts (e.g. payments on past transfers) which typically fall due then.}

Hi Steve and Ed002 this is my view
The season can be finished now with no promotion and relegation, it's already been done at National league level do it can be done.

If you want to play out the season why not do it between September to the end of November December off. Start the 2020/ 21 season in January till September same for the next season which allows the Qatar word cup to be played when it's due in December

By then the football world can work out what it wants to do.

These are all practicalitied and having nothing to do with points
Money breed it does put front line workers and fans first.

{Ed002's Note - The clubs can not afford to take such an approach. There is no intention to damage multiple seasons.}

Just announce Liverpool as champions and bring up the top two teams from the leagues, have a 4-5 team relegation next year. Or alternatively use the points per game system over the games played, these games have been played and is the fairest way, if that means Aston Villa need to play their game in hand then so be it, easier to manage one game behind closed doors than 92 games taking up valuable frontline staff!

If it’s about the money then says it all, it should be about health.
Even playing games behind closed doors the fans will still turn up outside the stadium which is exactly what we do not need.
