Ok, so say we can get 75m through player sales.
Who would everyone like to come next year?
I imagine positions to be filled are:
LB, MC (dependent on Wilshere) and SC (possibly x2)
Bit of Friday fun but try to be realistic :-)

I'd say we would need a RB aswell if Zaba goes mate.

ST ST/ winger
CM
RB LB CB.

I'd say this is probably the minimum we need over the next few windows.

All our strikers look pretty uncertain if they will actually be here next season. You could take your pick of any the strikers we have been linked to anyone of them on paper will be more useful to the squad than what we currently have particularly Carroll and Perez.

Personally I think the players we want rid of won't bring that much in. So I think the whole 25m to spend plus sales is boll*cks as that won't get us much at all.

One of the less known strikers we have been linked with I think looks quite impressive is 21 year old Christian kouame he can play LW and striker. Looks very quick tall and strong he's also looks very skillful and creative could be an absolute gem which is what we need as the funds aren't there to spend big in each position.

As for midfielders the one i'd love us to go for would be Ibrahim Sangare check him out look at his stats, he's been linked to Everton as a direct replacement for gueye but I think he will be an upgrade, many bigger clubs are now looking at him if various internet sources are to be believed.

Loftus Cheek and Giroud would be my buys.

Loftus cheek wants to stay at Chelsea. I don't think he's a viable option now it seems he is getting more game time also.

Giroud is old but top scorer in Europa league he's probably happy where he is.

I'm hoping for an emergence of CB Alese and RB Johnson be good to see if they can provide cover and eventually break into first team would certainly save us money It would make sense for them to be given a chance before seasons end. Then we can concentrate on the other areas I think we are desperate for a quality CM to replace Noble and partner Rice.

We should stop patching up our squad with older players on high wages and look to youth with actual sell on value and potential.

We need to look closer to home and try sign a quality home grown player. Che Adams would be a good shout but not cheap, Shelvey springs to mind also I know he's had some stick but on his day he's quality pings passes and not afraid to get stuck in, fingers have been pointed at his attitude I'm unsure on exactly why he has this reputation he's been loved by the Geordies and surely if their was any issues that would be ironed out by the fact he's west ham.

who are we selling to raise 75mill?
just so i no who needs replacing.

but for a start
chris wood-st
che adams-st
angelino-lb
all 3 would increase our home grown quota

followed by a midfielder out of
arne maier
exequiel palacios
nahiten nandez
james ward prowse.

I think the 75m comes from selling, Adrian, Masuaku, Obiang, Snodgrass, Perez, Hernandez and Arnautovic without selling the latter I think the rest could bring in 20-30m.

I'd rather any of the following over Chris woods- Gomez, Mitrovic, kramaric, Wesley Moares. Woods is good for Burnley but I don't think he would fit Pellegrinis style of play.

Angelino of PSV may be a good shout at LB and their RB Dumfries certainly has the physical attributes for the premier league.

It would be smart for us to splash out on a quality full back can't remember the last time we did. They are so important in the modern game its a shame masuaku makes so many mistakes and positional sense always looks terrible as going foward he's very good if his delivery was better might justify him making mistakes here and there.

The midfielders you mention all look very young with good potential but already look on the radar of bigger clubs. So may be out of our reach.

One things for sure pellegrini and everyone involved in transfers who ever that is at West ham has their work cut out for them. If business carrys on like it has in the past under the Dave's then we will yo yo around mid table occasionally competing for 7th and flirting with relegation. We do have big potential though if we can sort out the way we do business and hold on to players like Rice if and when they come from our academy.

woods is a similar type of player to mitrovic and gomez just much cheaper and has a bit more pace imo.
strong enough to hold the ball up, great in the air and can run the channels-something mitrovic and gomez lack the pace to do.
id suggest the list you offered shouldn't include arnie
we start of with 25mill (as rumoured)
chico-10mill
mass and obiang 10milish each
snoddy, adrian and perez 5millish each
already gets us to 70mill
chuck in fernandes 7mill, byram 5mill and oxford 8mill
could get us to 90mill without losing arnie

90mill i'm going with
woods 25mill
che adams 17.5mill (what birmingham wanted in jan)
angelino say 20mill
leaves just over 25mill for midfielders
id look at the championship see if we could do deals there for some young up and coming players aswell using diangana and hugill as makeweights.

{Ed002's Note - And what about all of the other costs associated with the transfers?}

Gomez and mitro are better at linking the play and better at finishing also younger. Woods yes is very good in the air as for pace I can't say non of them are known for it, either way very little in it.

I forgot about byram, fernades, Hugill. It's best not to get into prices too much as ed points out it's not as straight foward as it may seem. Payments are in instalments then there's agent fees buying and selling, player fees and probably loads of other things I don't have knowledge of. I'd imagine we will have to pay out just trying to find some of those players a new club no one is hardly chomping at the bit to get them.

Masuaku did well tonight, cresswell hasn't covered himself in glory recent seasons either. It's a tough decision to make and I'm glad I'm not making it maybe Pellegrini will stick with what he has there who knows? I'd certainly like to know what positions we have prioritised.
