Well here we have it, Jack Wheelchair possibly out for the rest of the season according to reports. So we must be a very rich club to pay him such high wages over 3 years for what return.? So we still can't offer Rice a decent wage to get him to sign a long term contract, wonder what our priorities are, looking at a great young player to star for this club for many years OR paying disability Millions to a wheelchair case. Give me strength.

Hammer Man, I think you trying to get me going again😂🤣 Other posters on here are probably sick of my anti posts on JW, but I rise to the bait each time his name is printed on here🤣For the life of me I will never understand why we gave a 3 year deal for a well documented crock, should any fan with a modicum of football knowledge not predict this would happen, of course he was talented x years ago, but his injury problems have made him a long gone spent force! We don’t need him anyway thankfully!

I agree he is a talented player, but his history of being injured while at the gooners spoke for itself. When I heard he was being released by them I knew only one club would pay him a huge wage and sign him, unfortunately I was right. Not only sign him but give him 3 years! I for one could not see that we needed him, we have a strong mid-field and there were more younger reliable players on the market. Our board seem to have a rush of blood and make some stupid signings.

It’s like buying a Ferrari that you know has been written off twice and hoping it holds together.

I'm not being argumentative but how did he pass his stringent medical that's more to the point. COYI.

Didnt Ironmike send out a post ages ago when we signed him. I thought his basic wage was very small, but with his appearance fee would be on more than he was at Arsenal.
I was understanding that the board will never do another AC and therefore we are only pay a small wage to JW when he's injured. IRONMIKE need your input on this one.

Cheezy, yes you’re right about small wage and appearance money to be even higher earnings when playing than at Arsenal, but what is the definition of a small wage in the Premiership? My idea of a small wage would be £5k a week when you have JW’s massive injury record! But I think we should have not bothered him at all!

Regardless of what the smaller wage may be it is still good money being wasted on a player that is not giving anything in return. Are we a charity, small wages over 3 years still mounts up to a fair sum. yet another very bad signing.

So it looks like wheelchair is on a reduction in weekly wages due to him being injured ( again ) . Apparently he is paid £80k a week and the poor boy is only being paid £40k for absolutely nothing. Plus the medical assistance that he receives for free from the club, that's about another £5k a week with the medical guys wages. Who decided on buying him must be bonkers. but then again this is West Ham United.
