Not putting any dampeners on it but we can only climb so high in the table because we are too porous at the back all the quality sides have tight defences and good goal differences until we get that sorted we will be limited in success, BUT great improvement no question. IRONMIKE.

Seem to switch off a little from corners when we are ahead. Last couple games we had great chances to put the 4th in though game would be dead and buried, we attack with so many numbers look a little vulnerable on the counter but fair to say I'm sure we are all happy with how well we are attacking. Seems a bit like a we'll score more than you at the moment very open and exciting stuff. Not complaining sure defence will get better too in time may take some new full backs.

Arnautovic is out for a month we definitely look suspect on the left why not move Anderson to no10 his favorite position and go with Cresswell wth Masuaku sitting in front of him has we did last year both like to get forward but both have the legs to get back n help out. we need to cut out the silly passing mistakes palace/ cardiff u may get away with it the big six need half a chance.

Agree with all comments, yes we are fragile at the back, but we are a threat when going forward for the time being I would rather be a threat going forward rather than have a tight defence. We had nothing after 4 games now were on 21 points, MP just needs the balance which hopefully he can address in Jan

I have stated in my posts in the past this season for me is a free season for MP, take a look at what we have sell who won't fit in to his style and build with his kind of players in Jan if the right player is available but most definitely in the summer.

Concerning the defence yes we are fragile but with decent scouting as in the Diop signing its something that can be addressed in Jan.

For the time being as long as we are a threat upfront we always have a chance.

I agree with the above. MP will need the whole season to sort out his squad. We need to trust his skill and man management - just look at what he’s done with Snodgrass.

If we are recruiting Nasri for midfield (short term fix) in January instead of Almiron (a real Prem star of the future), I am disappointed, but this may well be financial. Remember how much we spent in the summer and that Nasri is on a free. I don’t think the David’s are worried about his high wages on a 6 month contract as long as we stay within FFP. They probably want to keep a lid on capital expenditure until next summer, when MP has made his mind up about squad exits.

We also have Lanzini and Yarmolenko to return for next season.
