Surely there is something happen with Rice with the board other than just not paying what he wants. It really just does not make sense. I know you said about a wage structure but surely the DGS can see this is just not a journeyman after big wages, this is a young kid who is excelling, even IMO his wage demands are not that high in today's game.

DS is a total business man, I just can't believe he would be willing to lose millions upon millions on young Declan for him to walk away next season on a free. Its absolutely crazy, hence me thinking is something going on?, are they waiting to unload in the Jan window to free up some wages maybe?, I staggered with the way the board are acting I really am.

You are right Warrington, it does seem odd as they have usually been very good with contract renewals etc for good performance. I feel something is up within Dec's entourage though, as he has also not said anything about his international future. I think his new agent is advising on career moves etc that are best financially, and England would be the right move in that case, as would a bigger contract at WHU.
I think his international choice SHOULD be easy, play where your heart lies. Roy Keane was a legend playing for Ireland so why can't Dec do the same. It should be a simple choice for him. I get the impression he imagined himself playing for Ireland as a kid, i may be wrong though and it could be the other way around.
I do not think Dec is someone that would screw the club over by allowing himself to go on a free, he seems to have class about him and i do not think he would allow that to happen to the club that has made him. At least i hope not.
He is the natural replacement for Noble, but could be TWICE the player. SIGN HIM UP DGS!
